Well, it's a money maker . . . other than that, I can't say as I'm particularly excited one way or the other. One one hand, the playoff picture will get watered down and the process will become a slower one. On the other hand, maybe Dallas will actually get to compete in something that we haven't been able to for far too long now. How far we're likely to get is dubious, considering the inferior quality of our depth nowadays. At the end of the year, we'll need to be well set in backup talent. Good luck with that.

Well the nfl fielded 12 playoff teams when there was only 28 teams, now 14 playoff teams out of 32. IMO it's long overdue.

The league does whatever generates more revenue.

More teams to watch and another chance to fill stadiums but at a much higher tag.

It will also be 18 regular season games in the near future.
