Playoff Map

The OP wasn't the only scenario. It just needs adjusted slightly now.

Philly must lose twice to Dallas, to Min. and to NY.
NY must lose to Wash twice, to GB, and Min.
Wash must lose to Dallas, TB, and Jax
Dallas needs to win out.

Washington beating NY twice is the biggest hurdle, but the odds are very small anyway.
Yeah, no matter how unlikely the odds of this happening are, we can still hope.

Thanks for updating.....there's no way Philly loses 4 in a row imo!

It's looks less likely than it is. What were all really hoping for is 3 in a row and having that last game mean something.

That would be nice. It is not going to happen, but it would be nice.

You need to understand compound statistics.

The odds are more like .0000001

I have to do this...seems like the perfect reply.

Have you watched the Giants at all in the past decade? A Giants collapse is almost a given.
Yea, like when they won the Super Bowl

Let's go COWBOYS!!!
Let's go ( dry heave ) Commanders.

If the Packers and the Giants win today all hope of the Cowboys making the playoffs shall be lost.

The Falcons are 9-2 and the Saints are 8-3. If the Cowboys win the rest of their games and make it to 8-8 both the Falcons and the Saints would still get a wildcard spot over the Cowboys. If the Falcons don't win the division and go 9-7 they would get the wildcard spot over the Cowboys. If the Saints don't win the division and go 8-8 they would get the wildcard spot over the Cowboys since they beat the Cowboys. The Bears are 8-3 and the Packers are 7-4. If the Bears don't win they division and go 8-8 they would get the wildcard spot over the Cowboys since they beat the Cowboys. The only way I can see the Cowboys making it as a wildcard is if they win the rest of their games and if the Packers don't win anymore games and some other things happen. If the Packers win today they will be 8-4 and if they don't win the division and go 8-8 they would get the wildcard spot over the Cowboys since they beat the Cowboys.

Also if the Giants win today they will be 8-4 just like the Eagles are 8-4. Now the Cowboys can still make it to 8-8. But if the Giants win and make it to 8-4 just like the Eagles are 8-4 keep in mind that the Giants play the Eagles later this year.

Anyways this is why I am saying that if the Giants and the Packers win today that the Cowboys will have no chance of making the playoffs.

Here's to hoping that slight glimmer is still there after we win today (and others lose to keep us on the cusp). :beer2:

They had a mini collapse during that year as well, it just was earlier in the season.

Looks like NY losing to wash is going to be pretty tough now with the Giants up 14-0.

Do we still have a Dumb & Dumber chance or are we out of it?

I asked this question earlier, and didn't get an answer. However, with New York and Green Bay winning today, the Cowboys are mathematically eliminated (I think).

The way that I see it with all the different scenarios I've run on it, we are out of it....

This is why I HATE it when after a loss early in the season, guys on here say "It's just ONE game"....well, ONE GAME can keep you out of the playoffs.

:bang2:

BTW, I am no longer a believer in Parcells' saying of "You are what your record says you are...".

I'll guarantee you that NOBODY wants to play us especially when their playoff hopes or seeding hopes are on the line.

It's like we are Boise St. in a sense.
