According to ESPN, Cowboys-Eagles had the biggest impact on playoff odds of any game this week.

With the win, Dallas now has a 34% chance of getting in. If they had lost, their odds would’ve been 6%.

With the loss, Philly now has a 35% chance of getting in. If they had won, their odds would’ve been 70%.

Huge win for the good guys.

I wonder how PHI has better odds than we do, having lost to us head to head at home now, and with the much tougher schedule. Those odds must not take schedules into account at all, and they have slight advantage somewhere in the three-way competition scenario with the Commanders.

I’m guessing their formula has Philly as being a better overall team despite the loss. It definitely takes schedule into account.

I'm giving a like for proper use of would've instead of would of. You have restored my faith in humans.

How could it, though, given how much harder their remaining schedule is than ours?

It takes remaining schedule into account, but also team performance.

My guess is that according to their formula, Philly has performed better than Dallas has this year (despite identical records and the H2H loss). So that would make up for the difference in quality of remaining schedules.

Philly does have the edge over Dallas in overall scoring differential, +15 to +10.

There is a formula why these stats don't add up with Philly having the higher percentage. Let's go to school and I will explain it for you.

DAK + LInehan (clown #1) +(Clapper clown #2) + (Sometimes Comaitzed Marinelli) + (Disfunctional Management) - (fanatic fan base) = -1OO PF rating.

Wentz (God like @Risen Star) +( Doug Pederson) -( his idiotic 4th down gambles) + (Good Management) - (idiotic Filthy Bird Fans) - (Stupid Fight Song) = -99 PF rating.

This is not a playoff team. Roster is good enough but this coaching staff is incapable of pulling it together. 6 teams already have 6 wins and I am counting the Vikes tie. Last night was infuriating because it shows you what they are capable of. Consistency is the mark of good coaching. They have shown little of that through the years. As fans we should root for whatever it takes to remove the Garrett cancer.

The schedule is tough and this team will be exposed. I continue to root for max humiliation for Garrett and Jerry so we can finally have a chance at being a serious organization.

I've seen one-in-a-row with this staff too many times. Get to 6-5 the day after Thanksgiving and I'll look at playoff odds.

With last night's win and the Falcons losing at Cleveland, it sets up perfectly to lay an egg in Atlanta next Sunday. Let's see if the script changes.

Cowboys don’t have many tie breakers in their favor.

We lost to a lot of the teams ahead of us.

We won’t be going to the playoffs with Dak also.

Dallas isnt going to the playoffs

Probably true.

We have an outside chance at the 2nd WC spot. But Seattle is tied with us and they have the tie breaker.

Realistically, we have to win the NFC Least, but the Skins are 2 1/2 games up.

That was my 1st thought too.
I guess it is ESPN East Coast bias.

According to this, we have an 80% chance of no playoffs, and the Eagles are at 92%

I totally respect your desire to have Garrett replaced if you believe he is part of the problem. I totally disagree with your desire for us to lose as long as we are realistically in the playoff picture.

And yes, at this point we remain in playoff contention.
