Honestly, I was thinking with a healthy Romo this team would scratch and claw to a 10-6 record. Now, sky's the limit on offense and the defense is not even at full strength yet IMO. As far as I'm concerned, this is already a playoff team. All eyes are on the Cowboys now and you can bet, that the rest of the league is looking to halt this new Cowboy winning machine. It will start with our excellent coaching staff in the offseason and that's why, this years team CANNOT waste the opportunity it has created for itself.

Numbers aside it would take an absolute historical, almost on purpose failure for the Cowboys to not make the playoffs as we pull into the half way point of this season based on the schedule.We haven't been in this position in 20 years so it's hard to think in this way, but really.. the team by getting off to a great start has made things a heck of a lot easier for themselves.

Pick 5 games from this list the Cowboys can win, and the Cowboys end the season 11-5

.Or if you feel a little more anxious, pick 4 games from this list and the Cowboys finish 10 - 6.

Any other year, I'm thinking realistically, it's a week to week league yadda yadda… but let's be real. If they can't string together 5 wins with that list of teams. Then we didn't have any business going to the playoffs regardless.

Even though we should beat the Commanders, It could be a tough game too.

I fully expect the Cardinals game to be tough. I don't care what their schedule was, they are still 5-1.

As an aside, I love that the Commanders are a 99% certainty to miss the playoffs.

Here are the team efficiency rankings after six weeks. What does bother me a tad is our defensive rank. Now, we are where many of us thought we'd be. I liked our run defense today and we only gave up 21 which ain't bad. Looking at our rank and the top teams doesn't inspire me. OTOH, we should get Lawrence and Carter back next week. Also Spencer, T McClain and Wilcox are getting better as time goes by. Not sure about Melton but he should be playing better. So I'm hoping the D gets better. You need that better D to be consistent against the better teams.
