Playoff Picture

I think we rattle off a very impressive losing streak. Not even being pessimistic, just realistic.

The ingredients are all there—with practically all of our best players Zeke, Tyron, Lee, Bailey being injured or suspended—for a rough season. The rest of the players have shown no resilience when faced with their most reliable teammates being out of the game, and I think they just lay down and quit when they start losing.

And the fundamentals aren’t there with this team. We can’t tackle. We’ll never stop anybody with our LBs and CBs unable to bring anyone down

If you want a clear playoff picture somebody photoshop Wentz hoisting the Lombardi.

I may not get through this winter. This may be it for me. What a career I've had here though.

You’re like a modern day Jack Palance, always the villain....

The trainers suck.

This has been happening for years. Lee wasn’t even getting treatment after he hurt his hamstring again.

The dude should have been getting treatment immediately after the pull happened.

Its a joke.

Wrong.

I can't wait to hear how this team is on a mission in 2018. The gang's back together. No more Zeke drama to distract them.

I bet they'll come up with some sweet t-shirts.

Our FA haul is gonna be off the hook, yo.

And our new nutrionalist we added to the staff and our new defensive analyst are really going to change the way we do things around here.

Seriously, I'll believe they have a clue when they actually show they have a clue. What I expect is everyone in the coaching staff keeps their job, Jerry and Stephen spend the offseason making excuses for our failures, we'll hit the bargain bin in FA with the Jones telling us the roster is great, it just needed some tweaks at 2nd and 3rd string and we'll head off to 2018 where we will probably finish in 2nd or 3rd place and we'll just repeat the process for 2019............... and then 2020................ and then 2021............... and then 2022..................

It is just being exposed that this is a top heavy team that has very good players in key positions but once they are out, the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.

That simply means this is not a good football team from top to bottom and they are dependent on the talent because the coaching schemes are specialized to the point that it is either the starters or nothing.

That is probably one of the worst places to be as an organization when you have to have a perfect situation to have a chance to win.

Jerrah goes cheap on depth. Also there is no foundational system in place such as NE has w Belichick. Garrett is just a positive thinker that's it.

And a nice long offseason of coulda shoulda woulda from a segment of the fan base who will use the suspensions and injuries as an excuse.

Sounds wonderful.

Never understood the unbridled optimism here this past offseason. It was out of control.

What I saw was making a bad defense worse (Lee is the only thing that saves them from historibad); a reshuffling of the strongest position group in the NFL; lack of key FA signings; and a pie in the sky belief that Dak Prescott was soo good he would mask all the bad (it didn't work w Romo either QB isn't the issue).

Hey if they quit, that just means we get a better draft pick. If we're gonna miss the playoffs, I'd rather be 6-10 than 9-7

Playoffs. Lol.

I can't even be excited about being in the playoffs as long as Garrett is our head coach. Last year any decent coach would have gotten us to the NFCCG.

Looking over the standings and running some numbers and it aint looking good fellas, I got to be honest.

Division Leaders.....Philly 8-1
Vikes 7-2
Saints 7-2
Rams 7-2 (has tiebreak on us)

Wildcard contenders.......Carolina 6-3
Seattle 6-3
Detroit 5-4
Green Bay 5-4 (has tiebreak on us)
Atlanta 5-4 (has tiebreak on us)
Dallas 5-4

Losing to the Rams, Packers, and Falcons really has us screwed in terms of tiebreakers. Honestly, if we lose to Philly next Sunday night that is probably the kill shot on our playoff hopes. Not only will the division basically be out of reach, but we are getting buried in the wildcard hunt and with no tiebreakers on anybody its not looking good.

It is very odd, but we may have a better chance at winning the division than getting in as a wild card team. If we beat Philly twice (that's a tall order the way we are playing) we would just need to gain one game on them to get in as division champs.

5his isn't a playoff team without Zeke, get ready for the draft and the WR we'll need to take in round one.

The voice of reality. With no Zeke, and Tyron/Lee/Bailey lets shake out the roster, and give Cooper some time at QB when it makes sense. Late game yesterday was one of those opportunities missed.

We need to finish 5-2 to have a chance at the playoffs. And we play the Eagles twice. And Zeke is out 5 more games. I bet those people laughing that yesterday wasn't a must win are sweating now.
