Playoff Race (one game out #2 seed)

The division isn't locked up by any means, NYG have two tough games coming up (KC, @Wash, we all know how they play on the road). A win next week along with a KC win would be HUGE.
Certainly true. Heck, the #2 seed is still possible.

No..........
Damn
I'am on another forum witht he biggest homer ever
and he still thinks the Skins are going to win the NFC East

Literally, if we win out, and New York, Chicago, and Tampa lose one more game, we have a 1st round bye

That is hard to believe.

It's right there in front of us. We just need to strap'em up and play ball. The games will be tough but I believe the most difficult part of the schedule is finally behind us.

Man, there could be 7 teams with at least 10 wins in the NFC. I thought it would be a lot easier at the start of the season. I'm still gunning for the East. The Giants could easily drop.

Giants: KC, @Wash., @Oak
Dallas: @Wash., @Caro., STL
Vikes: Pitt, @Balt., Chic
Bears: Atl., @GB, @Minny
Bucs: @NE, Atl., NO.
Panthers: @NO., Dallas, @Atl
Falcons: NO, @ Chic., @TB, Carol.

Despite the win, another board is showing that, with Tampa's win, we're now at #7 in the playoffs race (Tampa & Carolina tied, Minny now #6 due to divisional record).

I thought for sure at least ONE of the NFC Wild Card hopefuls would go down today, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, they all won  Minny has Pitt and the Bears left to play though (though I think the Bears are a bit hyped)

Actually, if we lose a game in the conference - and that is all we have left now- and end up tied with the Vikes- they would have the edge.

Divisional records as of now:

NYG: 8-3
Dal: 6-3
Was: 7-2

Chi: 8-1
Min: 7-4

TB: 7-3
Car: 6-3
Atl: 4-4

If we win out or dont lose another division game and gints lose to the skins and end with the same record as us. Do we then own the tie breaker over them?

It will then come down to winning percentage vs. common opponents

To analyze this, the following are common games + results (not including division games, as they would be equal at this point):

Opponent Dallas NYG
San Diego W L
Arizona W W
Denver L W (lucky)
San Francisco W W
Seattle L L
Oakland L ?
St Louis ? W
KC W ?
4-3 4-2

If this is correct, we must beat St Louis, and KC and Oakland must beat the NYG for us to win the division via this tie-breaker, or if they split, THEN it goes to conference record - IN WHICH CASE, we would have to beat Wash, Carolina AND ST Louis (as the NYG are done w/ non-div conference games), or else it moves to (drum roll) 'Strength of Victory'

we cannot YET determine where we stand on that one, but I believe beating the Chiefs today will help our cause if the NYG lose to them.

Our chances to win the East are almost nil imo.

I don't like my hopes tied to beating teh Skins there to eliminate them from the PO's and then having them bounce back from heartbreak to knock off the Giants.

Then we still need to keep pace in the other two to get to the 'common opponents tiebreaker with the Giants. Even then I'm not sure we win that tiebreaker.

One game at a time I guess. Starting with the Skins.

But lets enjoy this KC win first eh?
