Playoff Scenario

Now that the 2nd seed is gone, I was thinking Cowboys would rather have the 4th seed if we win the division and play the bears on the road than have the 3rd seed and play payton/Saints again in playoffs. I think payton can expose our defense again and has more plays than he showed yesterday.

Remember 1995, when Norv Turner would expose our defense but nobody else could? We lost 3 or 4 games that year and 2 of them to the Commanders.

Ofcourse this is all only if we can right our ship and win the division first and get out of first round of playoffs.

Whom do you guys rather play? Bears or Saints?

Assuming they win the wildcard game, I would have to say the Bears as long as Grossman is their QB.

I don't even know about that!!!! Our "D" has the ability to make a JUCO QB look like an all-pro!

WE have NO pass rush!

I am sure if Seattle gets the No 3 seed, they will expose Gibs defense better than we did with their running game. I am sure the there will be upsets in the first round but just playing out the best seed wins scenario

I have serious doubts that we are going to make the playoffs. If we lose Saturday, I could see us losing out and going 8-8. If we have nothing to play for week 16, then we might lay down like we did last year vs. the Rams.

Really? So, we should chalk up beating ATL just like we chalked up beating NO? Are you positive that we will beat the Eagles? We lose those two, we're on the bubble getting in the playoffs. The Lions suck, but we've shown that we can lay an egg at any time.

We would eventually have to play the Saints regardless, therefore, we had best be ready for anyone.

But I would rather they play them last for the NFC Championship.
If we get there.

So all the good the team has done on the last mon th or so sudden;y goes down the drain? When has this team lost two in a row in the past two years? (it only happened once) We lost three in a row twice in 2004 with a far worse defense and Vinny at QB without Glenn We have never lost four in a row with BP as coach. Why all of a sudden would this team just tank? Whatever this teams deficiencies are they have shown resiliency in bouncing back from a loss.

I hope you are right. Again, it hinges on the ATL game Saturday night.

No it does not. Look at the standings even if they loose they are going to be in 1st place for the division, you think that team does not have anything to play for, but you keep sticking with you line of thinking here...WHy don't you stop the EXTREME knee jerk and come back to reality.

I am in reality -- perhaps it's you my friend who isn't. You are going to tell me that losing to the Falcons would not put a serious hurt on our playoff chances? Please.
