Next week if NO wins MINN wins and the Cards win and the Boys win, THEN we would play the Birds AGAIN in Dallas for the playoff game. Right?

We're Going. :D

No we are not. I read the Official game thread of the Dallas vs. Tampa game this year. I know I was told we suck.;)

Assuming Minnesota wins out, we'll be playing Philly in the Wild Card, regardless of what happens next week.

Yeah. That's a sticky situation. But where we play them means a lot plus just the mo is important. I don't want to get soundly thrashed then have to go up there and play them the very next week.

NFC playoff teams are set, but none of the seeds are.

Fun.

I agree. We can still move up. I hear Collinsworth saying, "Eagles. Oh, the Eagles." But it aint over yet.

It all started with the Saints game. This team is turning it around and the defense is really making some gains and showing signs of dominance. I honestly think, no matter where we stand, that we can win a playoff game.

My mother in law, Lord bless her, bought me a $90 bottle of Lagavulin single malt for ******mas.

I just opened it.....

Am I the only one who doesn't give a crap about the NFC East and more focused on knocking the Eagles out the playoffs the on jan 11th?

Winning the NFC East means nothing if we can't win the following week. I don;'t care if the game is in Philly or Dallas, i just want tl knock my most hated team out of the playoffs
No, you're not.

Like anyone, I'd like to see the Cowboys win the division next week, but I'd rather see them beat the Egirls in the playoffs.

I hate the Egirls.

Hate.

It's nice to know we're going to the playoffs but it would be even nicer to actually do something substantial there. I'm not satisfied with just getting there and I don't believe many of you are either... Just sayin.

Ok. Back to the regularly scheduled playoff party. ;)

What a season..

The playoffs are certainly a sticky situation, but fortunately both teams are in a situation where they don't want to reveal too much and so it's not like the last game may even matter in the grand scheme of things.

Both teams are essentially playing to see if we play indoors on turf, or outdoors in the elements.

Either way, these two teams know each other better than anyone else they could have matched up with. Plus they get to see each other a week early for a free preview. Whoever wins gets the homefield advantage, but may receive a disadvantage in having to beat the other twice in a row.

Wow that makes for a crazy scenario. Hopefully we get the best case in this situation. I'd certainly go up to Philly if it meant our chances of winning in the WildCard round were better. I wouldn't be able to stomach beating them next week and losing the week after. We already got our in season street cred.. just get me to the next round is all I want.

We'll beat them twice, we are the superior team. Dallas needs to go back to shotgun on 3rd and 1. This i-form, and other strong running formations are not working period. It's laughable. :(

How do the Cowboys get the higher seed over the Cardinals if they BOTH win next week????
They will have the same records, same division record, same conference record, haven't played enough common games.
BUT the cards have scored more points this year...

They don't. The only way Dallas can get a higher seed is if AZ loses.

So the Cards do have the tiebreaker by more points scored.

What is the tie breaking factor between the Packers and Eagles?
So I don't have to look it up...:D

IF DALLAS WIN week 17:

Win second seed by : MINN losing out AND cards losing/tie next week

Play GB - MINN losing out AND cards winning; if MINN beat the Bears, only mathematical way to play green bay is if GB and ARI TIE.

I know it's a long shot, but I can't help but root for Minny and Ari to lose out and us to beat Philly. The #2 seed would be so sweet.
