hello my friend...being a stat-junkie and all, where did you find this little tidbit?...i'd like to add it to my bookmarks...thanks

Good find. For some reason though, I thought I heard/read that we were one of the worst in the league vs. the blitz, and thats why teams blitzed us A LOT. Not sure where I read that unfortunately.

I really don't think they will, though. Even they have admitted they aren't a good blitzing team.

I think they'll just play that cover-2 and make Romo be patient.

Yea, Minny does not blitz very much at all. They sit back in cover 2 and let Jared Allen and hat D line put pressure on the QB.

Philly tried to do this in the season ender and got picked apart because they could not generate any pressure from their D line. That is really the key to the Cover 2, you have to get pressure with your D line for it to work.

If we can block the Vikes front 4, Romo should have a field day. If the Vikes can get pressure with their front 4, it might be a long day for Romo. This is the matchup that will decide the game, our offensive line vs. their defensive line.

Good find, what I dont understand is if Romo is this good against the blitz, why is he the most blitzed QB in the NFL???

I read somewhere that Romo is blitzed on like 57% of his passes, which rates him #1 in the NFL as the most blitzed QB. I could understand if the blitz was effective, but he is just killing teams when they blitz and they keep doing it. I seriously dont get it.

The perception has been that if you hit Romo, you'll rattle him and force him into mistakes. He obviously hadn't made a ton of mistakes this year, so that's kinda out of the window. Teams will adjust.

Yes,very good find. I have been searching for this data, but can't seem to find it.
Please post the source?

http://www.yardbarker.com/ is the source, its where the image is hosted hahaha.

Love, absolutely love seeing Manning below that line, now if the shoe was on the other foot, and Romo was below it and won MVP, ESPN would say its unfair he is below average against the blitz but Manning is the best in the NFL against it.

It's a win win situation for us then.

Amazing that 1/2 of the QBs have ratings of 90 or better against the blitz.

Remember when Parcells first got here? He told the team he would teach them how to beat the blitz and that they would love the other team blitzing. He was never able to get us to that point, but Garrett and Romo have arrived. I'm loving it.

These numbers are wrong. According to STATS LLC, Romo has a 95.7 QB rating against the blitz.

Flacco has a 103.4 rating. Roethlisberger a 105.5. Peyton Manning a 118.5.

I don't think they will blitz us much. I beleive that they will count on their front four to try to pressure Tony and lay back in their Cover 2. If they blitz, I think Tony will shred them.

It looks like we have us a Mexican standoff. I'm not sure what to believe. Which source is considered official?

I'm not sure what is considered "official" but STATS LLC is the company that provides the stats listed on the websites of ESPN and just about every other major media.

That makes sense now. Looks like it is wrong. Still, Romo plays well against the blitz.

if the lions were able to hang with them...and their cover 2.......imagine what we will do.....
