RB's are overrated by many in this league nowadays. You only need a running game that is:

1. Just good enough to make the defense respect it.
2. Run down the clock toward the end of the game.

Otherwise, this is a passing league now thanks to the many rules changes the NFL has implemented. There's no need to waste cap space on a back like DeAngelo.

Maybe a distinct rb behind this oline would be incentive for them to do better. During our hayday our oline played well above itself because it was blocking for Emmitt. We have 3 punk RBs right now and 2 of them can't carry the load cause they can't stay healthy and the other one is being ignored by the coaching staff.

If a good line makes a RB look better, believe a good RB also makes an oline look better too.

I especially like this idea of bringing him in with Romo down. Now more than ever we need a running game to rely on. It's either a workhorse grinding out hard yards, play after play, or it's some bogus RB-By-Committee with 3 RBs who haven't been able to do it to save their life. I'll take 20 carries, 60-80 yards a game - and that's saying he never breaks any or those game yards peak up into the 100's consistently. Simple math. And simple math our running game at the moment just isn't making. They FAIL.

The reason for this is because our defense fails. The only significant failure of our running game is in short yardage and this is completely the fault of our offensive line.
