oh, you know he is thinking about letting McCarthy go. and then give up draft picks and money to get peyton. he thinks peyton will heal all the wounds.
And they will be high round draft picks. Exactly the worst thing you can do. Top 5-10 pick , we could use in so many places or bundle up for a team willing to trade up and fill multiple holes with top picks. Somehow , we will screw it up

Seasons over. This team isn’t doing anything even with dak. This team isn’t doing anything ever with the brain trust at the helm. Couldnt win if their life depended on it.

The Dallas Cowboys, or how I learned how to stop caring and come to love the Joneses failure.

Jerry isn't running this team. Stephen is.

you'll use what we have and nothing else. Just like running a school where 5 teachers quit, why replace them with good high quality educators when we have all these janitors and nurses that can be in the classroom

It's time to sit back, and some high draft picks would be nice medicine for this disease. Don't trade away valuable resources in a pathetic attempt to win a few games.
This sounds like a great plan.

The New York Jets having been doing this since 1970. Jerry should call them for some advice.

Jerry Jones is about to turn 80 years old in a few weeks. I struggle to see him seriously entertain giving up on a season.

Let the rebuild begin……sorry Micah but you may be on your 3rd contract by the time they can get back on track.
No way they start a ‘rebuild’ which isn’t even a valid term these days

Exactly. Rebuild isn’t where it’s at either. It’s a high risk path. But they won’t do it anyway

That is exactly what I was thinking. I can see him trading a first rounder for Garoppolo. What will that do? Get us the 18th pick in the draft?

Don't look for it right away. Look for it after we lose a few more games. Then start to worry.

I don’t think they will. Losing your QB in the NFL is a common acceptance the season is basically over.

No need for knee jerk reactions or scapegoating.

Who knows in this division 2 or 3 wins before Dak returns could keep us in playoff hunt.

8 or 9 wins could still get a seed. That will be enough for Jethro to sell. We won 1 game with Rush. Why not 2 or 3. That will be the hype anyway.

And if Rush poops then we have Grier. If Dak was out for the season it wouldn’t matter but the fact he’ll return will leave some hope . But they must win 2 or 3. We can’t expect Dak to return and win out.

I hope we knee jerk by cutting someone...this team needs a wake up call.

They can start with that fat RB #21...And that pathetic CB Anthony Brown.

I don't get it. Jerry didn't do squat in the offseason to improve this team so why would he do anything to improve it now?

We knew the Cowboys were going to have depth issues at OT. So they drafted Tyler Smith, but then sat on Ball and drafted Waletzko instead of signing a vet as they had done in previous years. Not until Tyron got hurt did they sign Jason Peters. And that was apparently just in case.

The Cowboys knew they would have depth issues at WR after losing Cooper and Ced Wilson. Again, they went with Washington at league minimum and some young guys with no experience behind CeeDee who appears to be a slot receiver.

They lost Gregory somehow and signed Fowler to replace him. Did Fowler play last might? I think he did. I saw a number 56 in there late in the game. But he had 0 tackles and 0 assists.

La'el Collins beat out Steele for the RT spot last season. But Jerry decided Collins was expendable so he just cut him and chose to go with Steele and two players with 0 experience to back him up. Steele had 4 penalties last night, 3 false starts and 1 holding. That was 1 less than the entire Bucs team had. Does anyone have any doubts what Jimmy Johnson would have done today had Steele committed those penalties while he was coaching?

Jerry had a reason for not investing a lot of money in the Cowboys roster this year, after signing Dak to a $40 million contract he did not deserve, based on his play last night. I have no idea what his reasoning was but it seems to me
he probably still feels the same way.

Jerry isn't going to knee jerk anything b/c that would be akin to admitting he had something wrong in the first place. If he wanted to address the back-up QB spot or the WR position, he would have done that in the off season. But, as you know, we like our guys.
He kneejerked Matt Cassell and Cooper here. Both wasted resources.
