Dude's 65 and the King of Alabama. He's getting paid millions to coach. Why would he want the stress? Its not like he's 40-something with something to prove.

Saban is building his legacy (or adding to it). He's not going anywhere except sunny South Florida in a few years.

Saban tried the NFL thing, didn't work out too well for him.

Well it's not like the Dolphins have been a beacon of success since he left. If Brees had went to the Dolphins history could have been different.

Saban's issue was relatability with the players, he seems ot have gotten better in this department the last few years.

Saban is never going to leave Alabama and with the recruiting classes he has lined up, Alabama will be in contention virtually every year he is there.

He only needs one more Championship to tie Bear Bryant...........you know he wants that badly.

I'm with you Zordon! The dude is awesome.

JG tries to copy his process, but fails because he can't coach. Saban won last night in all 3 phases, as JG would say. When have we won doing that? I would love to have him, but I cannot see him leaving as he is a God there!

Throw the trainee in the trash and let's save Romo's final years.

Our whole coaching staff is essentially Saban's staff in Miami.. He's partially the reason we suck, with all his 'grand advice' about how things like his assistants are amazing and we should hire them...

Garrett, Houck, Linehan, Dooley... were all with Saban in Miami...

True, not all college coaches look to the NFL. In college they are treated as living gods. Saban has been with the NFL and quickly left.

If you are going to dig into the college ranks...I want a guy that beat the Goliath with David. I don't want the guy who is Goliath. I don't want the guy with a roster full of 5 star recruits..because how can you tell if that guy can coach...as opposed to just overwhelming everyone with a deeper roster.

I will never forget Steve Spurrier....when he got hired to coach Washington...making jokes about NFL coaches sleeping on the couch in the office. He just KNEW that would not be him. He thought he could just "roll the ball" out..and overwhelm people like he did in college. If you evaluated John Calapari based on what he did in the NBA....you would argue the guy can't coach...but put him at Kentucky...and give him the best recruiting class every year....and he looks unbeatable

I have often said Garrett is better suited for college...because he would rather out execute you...than outcoach you. He needs a roster that is full of players better than the players on the opposite sideline. Far too often that does not happen in the NFL. Everyone is big fast and strong. So you need a gameplan, scheme, and intestinal fortitude on gameday to give your team and edge. So no, I would not want Saban.
