Please let me go the Super Bowl

I have an interesting story to tell. I have a friend who is a diehard Ravens fan. In fact, his Dad is the head of maintainance for all the stadiums in Md. So he regularly attends Ravens games, travels to away games and stay with the team etc... Before the season started, I told him that I thought the Ravens would win the AFC north. He laughed. I also told him that the 'Boys would win the NFC East. I said "How great would it be if the Ravens and Cowboys met in the Super Bowl"? To which he answered with a laugh and said, "if they play in the Super Bowl, I'll buy your ticket and pay for the hotel, all you have to do is get a plane ticket to Miami. Well, he is a man of his word, and is freaking out at the possiblity of spendig $2500 per ticket for this game. It's a real possibility, and since I live about 50 minutes from B-more, I'll be a diehard Ravens fan all season.... Go Ravens but more importantly Go 'Boys:starspin

I went to a SB in 1986. Pats vs. Bears.

Half the fans are Pats. Half the fans are Bears.

You lose. Well, we got destroyed.

You are chased out of the stadium, yelled at, "you bums, etc".

Yep, it was a wonderful time. I said to myself, I will never, ever go to another Bowl, and if I do and we win, I will never, ever say a word to another team's fan.

Bad enough you lose. But to have another fan chasing you and telling you what a bunch of bums your team is, gee, enough already.

But, I have to say, I don't think NE fans would do that. Class. One thing our team has. Bears fans are flat out tough.

My future SB watches will be the TV.

Go, OK. Do it once. And if you win, be humble. There is another guy at the other end that does not feel so good.

I made a bet with a buddy of mine at the beginning of the season that if the Cowboys won the SB I would pay for airfare and lodging for him to Philadelphia if he films himself going through the streets of Philly with a TO jersey, giant foam cowboy hat, and two of the #1 fingers, culminating with a jog up the steps a la Rocky.

We both agreed that is what would be done if they win. I will not, however, pay for his corpse to be shipped home.

He swears he'll do it, and so too will I.

Ok, Mine was an easier bet I bet my Uncle who lives in South Florida that if his Dolphins make the superbowl I'll pay his ticket, In return I get a flight to Fla and a lower level ticket if myBoys go. He is sweating and saving now,HAAHAHAHHAHAHA
