PLEASE READ... Help for Luna

Wow, that is one beautiful dog! Man, I hope everything works out for you and her!

I am horrified at your experience with the first vet. You should talk to one of the legal beagles here and see if there's anything that can be done. Those wounds are clearly a gigantic concern and the vet had to have known that.

Hey, I just shared this on Facebook like Faerluna. I hope it will get the word out.

I am also going to sticky this so it doesn't drop off the page.

A friend of mine posted this...

Mike. There is a veterinary hospital in Fountain VAlley CA called ALL CARE PET REFERRAL. They ONLY care for the sickest and most complex cases and have the BEST record for animal care around. I have had to take two of my dogs there, one for cancer and one after eating an entire box of rat poison. I SWEAR by the docs and assistants there! Have your friends contact them right away. If Luna still has a change, ALL CARE will be sure she gets it! Let me know how things turn out!

I don't know how far away that is, but it would be worth it to me.

I'm so sorry to hear this.......last time I checked she was recovering from the surgery.

I'll pray for her and your family and would like to contact you on how I can help

Again I just want to say THANK YOU! To everyone. It has been such a roller coaster of emotions the past few weeks. You have no idea how much it means to my family to have so many people being here for us.

jcollins,

Find a way to donate that doesn't require sending a check. Something like paypal.

Then post it here.

It wouldn't be the first time I've helped a fellow CZer out.

Looks like if you click the ChipIn button on the upper right, it redirects to Paypal.

Ugh. That is a terribly designed webpage. This monitor is 1600x900 wide screen and that was still off the screen. I had to use the bottom slider to bring the ChipIn button on to the screen.

Sent some funds your way and have had several fb friends repost the chip-in link.

Hope it helps!

That breaks my heart. I just donated. Praying everything goes well and for a speed recovery!

Just an update on where we are at with Luna.

Horrible! I can't even imagine. I drive over 20 minutes to take my dog to the best vet in town even though there are more than a handful of vets closer, but the vet can definitely make a difference.

I've donated, hope your dog recovers from this tragedy.

Hos, Thank you for the tip. Fountain Valley is a little far from me. However I could not be happier with the care that Luna is getting at Baseline Animal Hospital. Plus we get to visit our Luna everyday since she is so close. Just really want to thank everyone again for their support this is truly a great community to be a part of.

Just wanted to give everyone a update on Luna.

We have brought her home and she seems to be doing better. She had stress colitis from being away from home and at the vet for so long and that cleared up a few days after being home. we have to change her wet/dry bandages daily. Because of the wounds she received at the first vet she contacted 3 super bug viruses. She is on antibiotic and once those clear up the open wound should start to scab up and heal. It's nice having her home and we appreciate everyone here that helped us out. It is such a relief to have her home and see her doing better. Thanks again to everyone here for all your help.

As for the first vet we have a court date in February and the California Veterinary Medical Board has opened up a investigation on our case.
