It's funny. Dallas lost narrowly at Philly and fans were calling it a moral victory and thinking wow, maybe this team might be good after all.
And yesterday when they actually won, overcoming a season's worth of defensive miscues to come from behind three or four times in the second half and overtime, and fans are like "wow we suck".
The truth, as it usually is, is right in the middle.
True, and I expect a completely different style of game against the Bears.
I predict a weird kind of season where some of our perceived weaknesses turn out to be strengths and our perceived strengths turn out to be, well, maybe not as strong as we had hoped for.
The Cowboys didn't have a legitimate RB - Davonte Williams looks legitimate to me..
Dak was washed up. - Dak's performance so far, contradicts that.
The Cowboys DTs were going to be terrible. - Indeed, but then we got Kenny Clark.
It's only two games but I think we can all see that much of what we assumed seems to be trending in the other direction.
Some predicted that Javonte Williams wouldn't even make the team. Others predicted that Blue was going to be a real weapon this season.
Remember, I said "trending" in the other direction, still plenty of time for a reversal but we go on what we actually see.
But that's how it's going to be this season. That's how it is every season. If we knew what was going to happen then why watch the games?
Let's not forget to enjoy watching the games. If we stress out about the weekly events, whether it is a loss, injury or some off-the-field issue, we won't really get to experience the journey.
As a fan that has experienced five Super Bowl championships, it's all about the journey for us. It's never a straight road, there will always be some bends, but the exciting part is seeing what is around the corner.
