Hey, everyone. First, thanks to whoever it was that suggested that I use Plex in conjunction with my Roku box for streaming videos that I download. That’s worked really well. I installed Plex on my Kubuntu Linux PC it it works really well. I had been planning on buying some kind of Kodi TV box that I would then use to stream, but that has not been needed. Plex has been great. However, occasionally I’ll download a video that Plex either cannot see and it doesn’t go into my streaming system or it does see it but it won’t play the sound. The solution has been to convert the video to a different format with a free utility such as Format Factory or Handbrake. Of course, that takes time.

It might still be useful to have some kind of Kodi box. That way if a video doesn’t play on Plex, I can try it in Kodi. If it plays in Kodi it would save me the trouble of having to convert it. I’ve been needing to upgrade from a DVD player to a BluRay anyway. Does anyone know if there are BluRay players that also have Kodi built in and can accept streaming? If so, that might be the ideal solution.
