Steelers have consistently said hes not in their plans for next year. Even at his age he's way better than any fs we have now. I'd sign him for a decent contract for 2 years in a heartbeat. None of our safeties are good in coverage. Cowboys have a 2 year window to get a sb. We need all the help we can get. He'll help out the whole secondary and lbers.

Nope...too old and declining with age. You don't pay age in this league.
Get players on the rise and let the Commanders get players on the decline.

No way, he has bee a non factor for the Steelers the past 2 years if not 3 years. Makes a play here and there, but no where close to his play of 4 or 5 years ago.
Let Snyder sign him. This has Commanders written all over it. Or the Raiders.
I hope the Eagles sign him, as a friend of mine, a huge Steelers fan hates the Eagles more than he does the Cowboys. LOL

I'm generally all for kicking the tires...

But he was horribly overrated in his prime and is completely done now.

Even if he still had anything left in the tank, he's not a scheme fit for us. The Steelers use him a little differently in their scheme. He's basically free to chase the ball. We don't really do much of that. Would be a bad sign, even if he could still play, IMO.

I think JJ has shown continuous improvement, so why bring in a guy who at best would be a 1 year fill in? No thank you.
