the answer I'd choose isnt up there

as a head of football operations/pseudo GM= pretty damn good...did a solid job rebuilding this roster...we have alot of good talent and look like we have a legit QB of the future too

as a head coach= not good...he was expected to win playoff games and make us a champion again...not be .500 and fail to win a postseason game or division title

I agree that parcells did some good, but still i am disappointed.

Parcells got rid of some bad apples, brought in a lot of talent and his presence was good for the team.

The decision to go to 3-4 when he was only going to be here for another year or two, well i think that was a mistake. How could he expect to change the system and revamp 50% of the starting defense and have everything worked out to be consistent and competetive right off the bat. I think he did a great job at working with the rookies and newly aquired players to put it all together so quickly, but still - that 3-4 decision pretty much sealed the deal that rebuilding was going to be a longer process.

Also it seemed that there was too often poor execution and too many penalties and that was a disapointment, would not expect that with parcells as coach ......so for some reason he had difficulty keeping both the offense and the defensive players on the same page within their respective units. far too often it seemed like players where individuals out there instaed of playing together. This past year it looked like that was sorting itself out until the saints game.
