I’m going with Lawrence. It appears EZE is the more polished pass rusher in college and certainly now. But something tells me Lawrence is going to be some freak dude always around the QB. It will take time early on.

They are pretty similar pass rush wise coming out. Both use advanced technique moves in combination. The bigger difference is that Lawrence is a freak athlete. EZE had more production but that had more to the way they were used. EZE was used as a 7 & 9 tech end and Lawrence played multiple spots with too many as a 5t.

Way too early question, but to bite........EZ ( has a chance to be a more complete pass rusher/Edge )

.....time-out, you are comparing Lawrence college work to a player who has already proven what he can do on the NFL level. Hell, EZ is a starting Edge player. That in itself speaks to the level of his game already. Lawrence ..........?????

Who has the better pro career?

Don't give me ifs and buts. Pick one.
I'm going with Lawrence's potential. He might be the next D-Ware for the Cowboys if he's developed right and understands the game. I won't be mad if EZ performs just as well.

I don't think Lawerence was the higher rated draft prospect. Ezeiruaku was in almost everybody's 1st round and thought the Cowboys stole him in the 2nd.

Lawrence ran the track meet drills.
He skipped the shuttle and 3 cone. Most likely at his agent's direction as he has limited bend which is what limited his college production.
Eze focused on these two drills as they're the best indicator of bend and change of direction needed to play edge.
His schuttle was 4.19 and 3 cone 6.94. Both are considered elite. The schuttle is freak level and would be elite for a wide receiver.
For reference Micah ran those drills at 4.34 and 6.96.

EZE for sure, right now.

EZE is a year younger and is the same calibre of athlete - just different. Plus, was a solid passrusher as a rookie.

That could change by Halloween lol, but as of right now it'd mostly be recency bias that puts Lawrence ahead.

Missed this when I responded, good post.

Lawrence is a more explosive and probably powerful athlete, but EZE is really bendy. They're two different types of athletes but Lawrence isn't in a different class.
