no one talks about winning the div !! Even shotty, he talks SB , but no div talk!
I think winning the div is important , if you want to do good in playoffs , or have a chance at getting to champ game and SB.

I think this team can take the div this year and at least win the div round game and get to the champ game.
They split with phil last season, with the worst def in the league, so I dont think phil will be winning the div this season.

Why be cautious about predicting big , or believing in this team ?? You dont lose anything if your wrong lol.

Winning the division is critical to the path to getting to the SB. If you are not the best team in your division, odds are you are not the best team in the NFL.

I voted A simply because there was no option for a fer shore playoff team. I don't see any way we don't make the playoffs this season. I mean, we were 7-9-1 last season and added a ton of good talent. Hard to see us not having 3 more wins than last season. My prediction is around 12 wins.

Even though I agree with you, 12 wins doesn't mean you're a contender. We got 12 wins 3 years in a row and we were not contenders. Dallas can compete, but rarely contend for a championship. Since 1995 we had 2007, 2014, and arguably 2016. Other than that, we had zero chance at a championship, and I don't care what our record was. Our overall team was not good enough.

I see some people commenting on this poll but are to scared to vote.

Not sure fear is involved, but I did a quick Co-Pilot cross-reference of users who posted against those who voted when the poll was at 113 total votes (had to stop and do something else). At that time, only 26 members, or 23%, had both commented and voted. All polls with posted messages are different, but posting and voting patterns generally run the same across all polling threads.

The percentage drops when vote numbers grow larger. As an overall community, members prefer voting over voting and commenting.

Yeah, uh, I don't get that impression across the league. Remember last year when the lowly Cardinals destroyed the Cowboys? The Cards haven't won a game since then. but easily kicked the Cowboys' butts.

The year before it was getting destroyed by a lowly Saints that was the big warning about how much a fraud the Cowboys were.

It's the Cowboys that fear playing others.

Not to mention Eli Manning, Terry Bradshaw, Tom Brady, Jalen Hurts, Joe Flacco, Russell Wilson.......etc.....

All of those guys won super bowls due to D.

They also won them because they were very good QBs who didn't blow it and have horrible games in the playoffs like a couple of QBs we know all too well in Dallas.

This isn't a playoff team at all. No chance. Can't sack the other's guy QB. That alone is going to cause another losing record.

NFL training camps and pre-season games are under way. And in Oxnard, there is certainly a more positive feel than in the last two seasons.

So here’s the big question: With the excitement of a new season, new defensive coordinator, an apparently good draft (so far), and some other key player acquisitions…how confident are you in the Cowboys going into the 2026 season? And tell us why you picked that answer.

Will this team meet its positive expectations, exceed them, or be what they’ve been lately?

I picked C as my answer. Although I like a lot of what I’m seeing early, hype is always strong in TC. I will wait until the real bullets fly before determining what this team probably is.

Another good Post Bob, I voted A but I realize the significance of the worst GM in the league. And the team killing drama that he likes to create for media clicks, and the negative impact that it causes annually to this football team.

This is a playoff roster. Beyond making the playoffs, well, we still have #4.

I hope Dak has his best year coming up, and we can add Super Bowl 6 to the trophy case. I think this is a playoff roster as well Big Dog, really hope Dallas can find a way to keep Pickens in the fold in 27 as well .

After all this team has been through over the last 30 years, I think we're all airing on the side of caution! We want this so bad Haze, but do they!!??

This looks like a solid football team on paper, but we still have the same GM and that is a negative factor here. Can this team win despite this problem, I sure hope so, we will find out in time. Good Post Coog. Let's hope for Super Bowl 6 brother. I think this is as close as Dallas has been to multiple playoff wins in a while. But will Ol Jerry behave, I doubt it, but just maybe Dallas can win anyway.

I'm confident that this team, especially the defense, is on the right track.

There are several young players who will require some time to develop.

This has been one of my favorite polls. Thanks @Bobhaze . For me, I had been expecting the gap between B and C to slowly widen over time. That has not been the case. It is like my crystal ball has 3G service, while others' are on 5G, lol.
