The playoff potential of this team is obvious. Highly probable explosive offense. Upgraded interior defensive line. Very likely improved safety help. More experienced coaching.

It is easy to make a too-early proclamation, which is why I typically avoid them altogether. There is one precaution no one wants to consider in any sport, and that is always insurmountable injury or injuries. That is one reason why I wait for a few regular season games in addition to evaluating how well the team is executing in all four phases.

No one likes talking about it, but even sure playoff contenders can be derailed before their season gets rolling. The Patriots knew they were returning to the Super Bowl in 2008. Literally a couple of plays in week one and an MCL later, they were done. Neither Joe Milton III (6th round) nor Sam Howell (5th round) has a mystical 4th-round Team Chemistry Euphoria aura surrounding them. The same was true of Matt Cassell.
Well said DE. I’ve ever felt comfortable thinking I knew what a team would be until it has been tested by the regular season and gthe normal adversity that comes at every team at some point.

When it was McCarthy's regime I always questioned his actual game day coaching skills regardless of the ring he had previously won with GB.

So my simple answer back then regarding the obstacles to a trophy was Coaching and quarterbacking.

I guess I kinda still believe that now too.
In addition to passblocking and sacking the opponent QB, lol.

I think this team will make the playoffs but beyond that remains to be seen and will depend heavily on our drafted players performing exceptionally well. I like what they have done this offseason. They picked up starting quality players such as Thompson and Durant and possibly Otito for certain defensive situations. They have more depth than the last few years. I also think this draft was really good but of course that remains to be seen.

I took B, cause same offense is coming back for 26'.

So that's nice buffer room. Its the defense that makes or breaks the season.

And yet, we dont know where it will go. It's promising though, but the cat is still in the bag.

In a perfect world I'm picking B

I think our roster definitely has playoff potential barring catastrophic injuries.

Our schedule is pretty tough and if we do well in the regular season against some of this stuff competition I think there's even a chance we could win a playoff game.

That said we are going to need someone to step up and be a leader on the defense.

We are also going to need coaching that can think on their feet on game day and not get out coached continually.

Our division has experienced coaches that have been to Super bowls so far we got nothing to compare to that.

the cat is still in the bag.
After 30 years ........ the cat.
