Poll: Terrell Owens/Drew Pearson/The Ring of Honor

Well, the thing that held me up was the way you posed the question.

If both players are ever enshrined in the ring of Honor? Sorry DE, but I don't see TO going in at all. You're question assumes an acceptance that TO should even be considered. I had a hesitation with that.

TO has been a Cowboy for 18 games. He'll be a cowboy for maybe 50 or so more TOPS. Not enough for consideration even if we win a SB.

On the other hand, Pearson is (IMO) #1 on the list of guys who should be there...so I just said screw it and clicked that choice.

Well, I respect that Erik, but you do have to admit that there have been some who have been very vocal in saying that it should be assumed that Owens will be put into the Ring because of this or because of that. I only wanted to gauge how extensive that particular viewpoint was despite the fact that there have been players worthy of Ring enshrinement for many years like Pearson. "Did some of us believe in Owens so much that he should receive Dallas' highest award ahead of other, well-established Cowboys legends?"

According to some, the answer has been a resounding yes.

I find the fact that there are 9 people on here that either know absolutely nothing about the history of the Dallas Cowboys, or the fact that there are 9 people on here who need labotomies.

By the way, I'm not a T.O. hater. I'm actually glad we have him. He's a difference maker. However, one season does not put you in the Ring of Honor. Neither would 4 or 5.

True. I'll give ya that...which is pretty much why I ended up voting.

We both know it's not a real question though . I'm only slightly surprised that there were votes on the other side. I'd write that off to 1) Utter ignorance 2) Desire to be contrary for the sake of it or 3) Being a fictional character.

It is a real question darn it! Maybe not a very realistic (emphasis on the 'istic' part : ) one, but a real one nonetheless. Maybe we can add a #4 to your list..?

4) Owens has some very devoted fans out there.
