The image is not crystal clear. However, the ball is that black spot between the palms of Ferguson's white gloves.

Simple poll question. Please explain why if the answer is no. I will not reply for the same reason I do not believe the poll needs more than a yes or no: I have heard and read every excuse made for receivers and tight ends not catching catchable passes for forty years.

Is the question whether or not this is Ferguson's fault? If so, as much I think Dak threw him a fastball, he's 100% responsible to catch that pass.

Yes, but Dak rifled that ball before he turned. A little touch would have made it easier. That applies to both interceptions.

Dak looked way off, like his arm is shot. He's pushing passes like a shotput at times. That deep ball to CeeDee was about as bad as any pass I've seen in the NFL all season.

Too easy.....for a receiver.... the standard rule is: if it hits your hands i.e 2 hands)......you're supposed to catch it. It's as simple as that. He is open and he's bigger than the defender. No other explanation. Maybe Ferguson needs a visit to Lenscrafter, just maybe.

Yes. It was in his hands. And he had caught passes like that before. And caught more contested passes than that before.

Yes, stuff like that happens from time to time. But it has happened with him a lot the year compared to previous years.

I will get the "no" votes started.... You seem to be saying you thought it was a catchable pass, I don't. In real time Ferg is twisting too much to his left because the pass was a bit behind him, not leading like it should have been thrown. Had he caught it it would have been a heck of a catch, though.

The argument I keep reading is Ferg got his hands on the ball - he should have caught it. To that I would say go run the same play yourself and twist your body the opposite direction you are running and try to make the catch. It's not as easy as some would say. This argument keeps coming from Dak lovers who refuse to hold him accountable for anything, so take that for what it's worth.

Bro. People would take your dislike of Dak more seriously if you showed some objectivity.

That’s a pass that any paid NFL pass catcher needs to make. It’s not even that hard of a pass for a professional receiver or tight end to make

Yes. Dude makes millions of dollars to play a game. His salary suggests he’s supposed to come through even when circumstances aren’t ideal. If he can only catch a perfectly thrown ball, why isn’t he making vet minimum?
:hammer:

I 99% agree except for the vet minimum part. I do not think players should be in the league if all levels of difficulty catching a catchable pass is "way too hard for a guy." You are a receiver. What is your main job? High school. College. Pros. The story has always ended there for me.

There is no scenario in which this is on the QB. I don't care if he shot it out of a t-shirt cannon and the ball was covered in KY. CATCH THE FOOTBALL.

It is incredibly hypocritical standards to say the throw is the problem. Saying that is just starting with "Dak sucks" and working backwards.

Are we only holding Ferg to this? Is the high(er) paid QB going to skate any responsibility?

Still photos are always so horrible and misleading when used as proof for these types of things. My favorites are when people say "see, he was open" like the QB gets the benefit in a real life NFL game situation at full speed of a still photo showing that split second of where everyone is"

That being said, of course he should have caught it, why is this a poll?

What kind of question is that? It wasn’t a great throw but he still should have caught it.

Who is voting they don’t want him to catch it or don’t think he’s capable of catching it?
Keep reading the thread. You may feel more prompted to pose your question to someone else rather to me. Or maybe not. Let's find out.
