Poll:Which Cowboy player has impressed you the most so far?

Easy call for me. I knew Bledsoe would be better than VT. But not that much better.

Patrick needs in this poll. (Most improved in one year than any player I've seen in awhile.) Replacing Canty, Julius and Tyson. Drew has impressed me since Washington State. Now that I'm done being a big Jerk.........DeMarcus and Petitti are doing a phenominal job especially being that they're rookies, and are playing different positions. I did not expect them to be doing what they're doing, so well. Petitti was a project at the start of camp.....I thought.

Having a quarterback capable of being more than a busdriver has altered the face of this team. No longer are we hamstrung by the most important position on the field. Hell, we actually have a guy that has proven capable of leading us to comeback wins any given week.

While Bledose's performance could curtail at any moment, what he has done in six games is nothing short of special IMO.

I'd consider Petitti the most surprising player. The fact a sixth-round pick could come in and essentially solidify arguably the team's biggest weakness says a lot about the kid.

Come on! I know Petitti is a nice story and all, and he looks promising, but how can he be considered more impressive than Terry Glenn, Ware or Newman (to name just 3)?

I wrote you a really long reply, but somehow, Firefox crashed. I explained Rob's foot work, as well as where he's from, pro bowl chances, etc.

But, FireFox took a dump.

No contest, Bledsoe. I did not think he would have this impact. I am glad I was wrong.

Next-Henry was a flat out steal.

Rookies- Pettiti among a lot of good ones.......

For me, it is clearly Bledsoe. As another poster wrote, I knew he would be an improvement over Testaverde but I didn't think he would be such a huge improvement.

Bledsoe. but Henry isn't far behind.

both those guys seem to come up "clutch" when the team really needs to make a play.

i also believe stalwarts ellis and glover are quashing perceptions that they are devalued in the current defensive scheme. both are as reliable as ever. maybe even more so.

Bledsoe, then Rob.

....and remember, Rob is a huge reason why Bledsoe is getting the most votes.

I would vote for Newman too. I think part of Bledsoe's improved play is obviously the protection but also Sean Payton. I think Payton helped Vinny last year and is doing the same with Drew.

I guess it depends on what we mean by 'impressive'. If you mean going from drafted in the 6th round to being a starter in your first year, then yes that is impressive. However, he won the job more by default than anything else (this isn't discounting the hard work he put in) and he's making his share of rookie mistakes. Glenn on the other hand, seems to be finally putting it all together (please don't let him get injured!!) Right now the MVPs are Bledsoe, Glenn and Newman.

you should really add TNew to that list he has definately impressed me on D he only has 1 pick but thats because they dont throw at him that much.

Anthony Henry, i had no clue he was as good as he is.

Bledsoe, guy doesn’t quit.

Ellis, makes plays.

it was hard for me to pick between Bledsoe and Henry. But i did go with bledsoe, he's played great so far and exceeded my expectations.

If Pro Bowl voting were held at mid-season the way it's done in baseball and basketball, then our one sure-fire Pro Bowler would be Bledsoe. I think Glenn would likely make it as well, but Drew is arguably the best-performing QB in the NFC right now.

Henry might make it on defense, but that game against Lloyd and SanFran looks pretty bad on his resume right now. At the end of the season, if that's his only wart, then I think he'll make it as well.

Not that this is a pro bowl thread, but that's how I based my vote.

I'd say Crayton has been the biggest surprise for me this year. I expected the rest to do what they are currently doing but Crayton was a prayer at the begning of the season when we didn't get a speed WR in the draft as some around here called for. So you should have crayton I doubt 1 in 10 expected the excellent play we've gotten from him....

Well one who has been overlooked is the punter, that one he laid on them yesterday from the endzone went at least 60 yards-50 from the line of scrimage, it should have been suficient to keep them away from the endzone...

Newman, without question. I'm not sure he has even had a bad PLAY, let alone a bad series, quarter, half or game.

There have been solid performances on both sides of the ball this season. A lot of players (including rookies) have stepped up and made key plays. Since Crayton might be out possibly for the season, I thought we should give him a shot at this now.
Can I still name Crayton anyway? I wasn't sold on him at all when we drafted him, but I've been more impressed with him every week. I think he can play in this league for many years. What a shame he got hurt. :(

Petitti would be next. A sixth rounder starting from day one and playing so well? Very impressive.

Honorable mention to Terry Glenn, too, and of course Bledsoe.
