Rated 12th in the league is a rushing problem. We are all aware of the horrible start to the season. McCarthy ran the preseason offense playbook. Now with the new offense and Pollard healthy things are improving. That being said...........
The Cowboys are currently 12th in the league at rushing. Clearly the Cowboys do not have a rushing problem.
Yes we need the Pollard of old so we can run the ball and control the clock. He has the skills but has looked mostly gimpy since his injury. I hope he is fully healthy and ready for battle on Sunday.Dallas has had ONE 100yd rusher in the last 21 games (Last was Week 3 vs ARI)
It's not just Pollard... this team has a rushing problem. And it makes things harder for Dak and the OLine.
I'd LOVE LOVE to see a shift in scheme even now at this point of the season
If he's healthy, he needs to prove it and run hard and scare defenses
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard said Thursday that, at start of season, he was still working through his January leg fracture more than he realized. On where leg is now: "I would say it's a night and day difference. You think you're good. You think you're all the way back until you're actually out there making plays, full speed, feeling it. Once you get a feel for it and get your feet under you, then you start to realize, 'Oh, so I may have lost a little right there.' But I'm picking it back up."
Believes he really moved past injury "halfway through the season, a little bit after the bye week, something like that. I started to feel like I was starting to get into the groove of things."
Unless he breaks a long one (which means he needs blocking downfield) he won't get enough carries for a 100 yard game.He has one game w/ 100+ yards all season.
When's he back?
Not in a pass first offense. Also consider the preseason playbook they ran until the bye week. That killed everyone's stats. Remember when Lamb wasn't a WR1 and Cooks was a wasted trade? Yeah good times.Rated 12th in the league is a rushing problem.

Of course!!Instead of harder for the OL......wouldn't OL be part of the problem too?
Which is interesting because many of us have been pointing at the line. Pollard himself acknowledging he hasn't been the same, kind of paints the picture it may have had more to do with his lack of burst. He has looked noticeably better. It's one of the reasons I had been optimistic. In the past our run game disappeared towards the end of the season. This year it seems to be improving. This correlates with what I've noticed. Hopefully it translates
