Not to be insensitive, but I wonder if he would take a cheaper long term deal to resign. Obviously depends on severity of injury though.

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard was carted off the field during the second quarter of Sunday's NFC divisional round matchup against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium with an apparent ankle injury. The Fox Sports broadcast later reported Pollard would not return.

ESPN's Todd Archer reported after the game that Pollard suffered a fractured left fibula and will need to have surgery.

At what price can you keep 21 for short yardage and blocking ? Swing passes to him look painful , the incompletion is almost desirable to a loss of yards .

Now with this injury to TP your QB going into yr 8 would benefit from a RB WR and OT in the draft as STARTERS not projects or redshirts .
But he’s also our backup center . LOL

Fibula is a non weight-bearing bone, so he should have a full recovery without lingering limitation next season.

If he had broke his tibia it could of altered his cutting ability, speed, etc. However the fibula being a non weight-bearing bone will heal quite fast and not limit his athletic ability next season.

My 2 cents.
