Still high quality enough to get T-shirts printed. "Zeke Who" But legit enough to say no drastic drop off when zeke needs a breather. Life is good. I would like to see him get 9 to 12 a game . that means Zeke gets 15 to 20touches of quality time at full breath. Could be ugly. Nice.

I'm optimistic but I need to see him prove himself in real games versus starting players. The preseason games don't mean much anymore. I hope you're right.

Of course kind sir. can't question that. potential is kinda like assume. well, you know....don't need to finish that one.

Playbook is supposed to be pretty much the same, but with more disguising.

So Im expecting to see Pollard in the slot alot, and we will probably seem him run some jet sweeps

Yes..Pollard is exactly what DAL needed, a home run hitter to keep the pressure on the defense, when #21 subs out. The speed upgrade was necessary at RB2 and WR5 (Smith).

Pollard is Zeke's perfect relief man.
Hill is Collins' relief man.
Wilson is Woods' perfect relief man.
J. Jackson is Crawford's perfect relief man.

That's four of eight rookies contributing this year.

Pollard's is a perfect *complement* to Zeke.

Between the 20s, put Pollard on the field in the slot with Zeke as the TB as the perfect jet sweep/deep threat combo.

In *relief* for Zeke, we can run a lighter/faster version of the *same* offense with Pollard at TB and Austin as the slot jet sweep/deep threat.

That leaves Zeke fresh for the redzone where he should take all the carries.

Chunn could be a nice relief guy for all of them. A Barber type to pound for limited plays, and take carries at the end of games.

Zeke isn't the strength of the team, the oline is. Let them run block all day long, with lots of fresh runners and an increasingly unfresh opposing defense getting ground into the turf.

This is going to be a lot less exciting when the inevitable happens and one of them gets hurt.

For now, I'm just hoping Zeke is up to speed and doesn't fumble or get hurt.

I'm also personally hoping to see Pollard get the most carries this Sunday.

He earned them. And Zeke can't possibly be ready to go right now.

I want to see Pollard in a regular season game before proclaiming him great.. He ran well against the Rams practice squad players in a meaningless preseason game, but real defenses are going to be a lot tougher.

Historically, JG has had no idea what an RB platoon is. I think the last one we used was Julius Jones/Marion Barber. Fragile Felix got a bunch of carries when he was healthy, Murray set a 10-year record for RB workload, and Zeke is fresh off a 400 touch season (counting playoffs). I guess we kind of platooned Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden?

Anyway, JG doesn't use 2nd RBs, the same way he doesn't use 2nd tight ends. If he has a good starting RB, that dude is getting 90% of the snaps and his backup better be willing to play special teams. I agree that Pollard looks good, but we have seen this movie with JG so many times before.

Elliott and Pollard will pose quite a challenge to defenses, both can take it inside or out and both are just as dangerous in the passing game. The NFL does test for PED's but this Performance Enhancing Duo is perfectly legal;) and when I look at the rest of this offensive unit I see a tough stop for any defense. If Kellen Moore can create doubt there's a very good chance we can win it all:flagwave:

So what happens to Zeke when Pollard has a great game on Sunday? Some of you people seem to think these two can't coexist. It's not a matter of either Zeke or Pollard. They are on the same team and they can both thrive on this offense. The OP is right, Pollard is Zeke's perfect relief man.

Along with others here, I'll be curious to see the extent of Zeke's carries and if Pollard can make the solid impressions that he did in preseason. Kellen Moore is another character in this season's kickoff that should spark interest from the Dallas fans as well. It's only fitting that Ezekiel's carries be limited, since he hasn't enjoyed the benefits of practicing with this year's version of the Dallas OL. It will also be interesting to see what Moore has planned for Pollard other than his relief of Zeke as a RB. Will he be used to relieve Cobb at the slot as well and if so, how much?

The upcoming contest with the Giants should be both interesting and exciting for the Cowboys fans in so many aspects of their rejuvenated offense. Will Dak be able to display the improvement that he has been accredited with thus far in 2019? How well will Amari Cooper be able to function with a foot that has been subject to, at least, some degree of scrutiny lately? Supposedly, it shouldn't be a problem. Let's hope that's the case.

Michael Gallup will surely be there to aid Dallas' cause, come what may. Let's also see what Devin Smith can do, if anything. This game with the Giants should spark our interest in so many ways! Here's hoping you folks enjoy it as much as I'm thinking I will. :)

I just hope they find a way to keep Pollard involved. It will only help them in the long run. Adds another component to the scouting report the opposition will have to spend time on in practice.

Pollard will get some work for the first 3 weeks while Elliot gets in football shape. After that he will end up getting used like any other back up. JJ signed Elliot and we will run him like the last 3 years.

Maybe if he takes off like advertised then he will earn more snaps. But if he does then we will trade him after a year or so.
