Pollard played behind the same line as zeke and got out rushed by three guys on his own team.

Why do we do this? Whether it's Dak, Zeke, Pollard ... why do we deem it necessary to bad-mouth one player in order to build up another?

Last I checked, Elliott and Pollard were both running backs on the same team, ours, and it's in our best interest if both of them shine.

Because some fans have to have someone to hate and because "fish gotta swim" and all that.

"Pollard should start huh?"

He has started, did awesome, and he could easily start if Zeke were gone traded got rid of..whatever it takes to save the money Jerry squandered.. So what's your point Zeke?

Zeke should have had more yardage. He has lost his breakaway speed on that long run. We should have never signed him to that contract.

who cares who starts? Start Pollard than have them split time, or give Zeke 60% of snaps. Start Zeke, give him 60% of snaps...my point is they both have solid roles on the team

really, where are you defending Zeke then in all of the Zeke hate / bashing threads. But you want to defend Pollard when it goes the other way?
Not just you but all the Zeke haters rag on him but yet Pollard or other players get a pass.

Be nice if you didn't accuse me of things I've never done. The only thing I've ever said "bad" about Elliott is that he needed to get a grip on his fumbling problem. He has done that. I have stood in defense of him in other threads even though he was having a down year compared to his standards. I rightly acknowledged that there were good reasons for that.

I'm not interested in bashing one player as a way to prop up another. I think that's weak and petty. Of course, I also think it's weak to accuse someone of something they haven't done.

not bashing you, just asking or saying I never seen you defend him in all the bash threads

It certainly appears that way. I'm not one to hate any player who makes it to the NFL and shows some ability to compete on this level. I am for trying to improve the team by getting better players where necessary.

For example, I wanted punting competition brought in for Chris Jones because it was clear over the last couple of years that he was sliding. Does that mean I hate Jones? No. I appreciate what he has done for us and see no reason to bad-mouth him even if he deserved competition and even though Niswander looks to be a capable replacement. All of us should applaud Jones for some of the highlights he provided while he was here instead of tearing him apart for succumbing to injury and age, like all players do.
