Pollard protects the ball better.

protecting the qb is the olines job.

Agreed. But blitz pick up and chip blocks are also part of a rb's job. Taking Pollard out for every passing play for his lack of blocking skill just signals to the defense what Dallas is doing.

Zeke performing like a fullback and that’s ok.

why is that ok? The guy is getting paid like hes the best RB in the business and he cant even average more than 3 ypc?

Teams also dont feature FB's in the run game

True, but I'll take a few lapses in pass protection for the dynamic plays he provides.

Since he's resolved his issues sometime back in 2019,..do you really worry about him fumbling when he gets the carries ?

It was 2020 that he ran into fumbling issues.. which I have since attributed to post-covid symptoms. He never seemed to recover his strength or hand to eye coordination that season.. I think he had a career high in drops that season as well. I think he had like one fumble all of last season .. and obviously has not had one this year. And we just jinxed him.. LOL!

Pollard missing Ramsay on a blitz pick up is what allowed Rush to get blown up yesterday. He has also allowed Dak to get blown up for missing blitzes off the edge.

It may seem like a small price to pay now, but if one of those hits ends up with a quarterback out for the rest of the year, it will be a huge deal.

So you want Will Grier to start a few games? Listen we all love Pollard's big play potential.. But as I have said repeatedly, if he only gives you one every other game or so and he gets the QB flattened 2-3 times a game that's not a trade I'm willing to make. People whining about his touches seem to have amnesia about the two games so far this season where he's failed to reach ONE YARD PER CARRY!!! You simply cannot run your offense on that.. You have to be able to grind out tough yards consistently to keep the chains moving. You can't go 1,1,-5,1,2,1, 55, 1,-4. Yes you get the one exciting play but in the mean time you're spending a lot of time in 3rd and long. That's losing football. The coaches know it too.. that's why they keep handing the ball to Zeke.. Now if they would just hand it to him some place other than between the A and B gaps we might have something.

oh well, to each his own, but my QB's health and well being comes first.

you can still get splash plays in spots with change of pace type guys.

I like the combination although I would like to see TP get a few more carries, especially when in game as same time as Zeke or hit him in stride on short pass plays. I believe the increases reliance on running the ball has also helped rest our D to make them better. My concern is when Dak comes back will Moore or Dak go pass happy.

We should all like what we're getting from the tandem. I can't for the life of me figure out how any sane person can come away from a game like that upset about the running game.. I came away a LOT more concerned about the passing game myself.. Tough to win consistently in this league with 102 passing yards. That's some 2019 Jimmy Garapolo ish right there. I AM happy that for once we stuck with the run when the pass wasn't really working. Moore's M.O. when the passing game isn't working is usually to pass even more.. 30 pass attempts in that game would have resulted in Rush being carted off on a stretcher. Especially if they were going to keep insisting on asking Pollard to pass block.. and not put any help on Smith's side when Donald lined up over there.

Pollard needs more carries and Zeke needs less. Pollard is getting 1.8 ypc more, Zeke can't even muster 4 yards, should he even be in the league? Only Cowboys fans can praise 3 ypc. SMH
You must not have watched the game if you think zeke can't get 4 yards. He was getting that nearly every play until the end when I few tackles for losses dropped it.

Pollard was questionable going in to the game yet he only averages like 10 touches a game and you want to give him more?

Let zeke ram into the defense and then throw Pollard in there. He has elite acceleration, I think it catches the opposing defense off guard after getting used to zeke.

Protecting the football - Zeke
- Protecting the QB - Zeke
- Running the football - Pollard
- Catching the football - N/A

This isn't true, Zeke is one of the worst receiving backs in the league, so again we have a fullback and a game sealer.
