Pollard vs Zeke

Moore was good again today. Although there were several key times where he needed to run the ball and got a little too pass happy. One time I think it was Dak calling out of it.

But now we see what me and several others have been saying for a couple years. Pollard is just a more skilled back. And in this offense he is the better back. Moore actually sees this too and is calling the game accordingly. It made all the difference tonight.

Long gone are the days where Zeke up the middle is forced on this offense.

p.s. Shultz is the better TE in every way. Some key blocks and key catch late.

over 8 yards per carry and the burst was obvious.

I like Pollard. I wish we could pull off some Herschal Walker like deal for my Buckeye and keep Pollard

Pollard was better tonight for sure. Zeke did his job though as well. As others have said he's highly underrated as a blocker.

But, yeah, no question on Shultz. That dude has earned his spot and pay. I don't hate Jarwin and I think he's not bad, but from a guy like me that used to play Tight End...loving Shultz's play.

I wouldnt have given Zeke a second contract but teams need multiple RBs and this is what we have.

Moore simply took advantage of calling plays for Pollard against a good defense. As Zeke had his moments also. Ad as Tony said, MM said it is about game and load management for now also.
Both work for this offense. And Pollard was used today as many thought they should. Between the 20's. And more of Zeke inside the 20.
It is not that Pollard is that much better than Zeke. It was so he was used more today in some situations. Pollard had a good game.
But he still sucks at KOR.

They compliment each other well. But as a runner, its clear to see that Pollard has more skills. Zeke simply cant get outside. IF there isnt a big hole up the middle at least he can get 3 or 4.

I love the positive effect Pollard has on the offense, but dont lose track that his production is a byproduct of Zeke being the feature back.

How so? This is a common theme that simply isnt true. You think the defense doesnt know who the back is in the game?

When they run Zeke to the outside, they always run to the short side of the filed. Run it the other way, and give him that extra yards to hit the corner. Sometimes it is the play call, well, in Moore's case, most of the time.

Zeke just doesnt have the speed or moves buddy. No harm in admitting it.

It has a lot to do with that fact. With Zeke and Pollard on the field. And Dak's threat to throw it. Teams will still key on Zeke.
