Position 10 is perfect for CB, OL or Rouseau. This draft is a chess match with Philly. Tarron

Nope.

Stanley would have been the smarter pick. Collins would have stayed at OG, then you'd have a legitimate stud playing RT in Stanley who could eventually slide over and play LT when Smith left or got hurt.

Stanley is arguably the best player along with Ramsey from that Top 10 that year.
I’ve always thought they made promises to Collins at tackle
Though that’s about money and he’s paid now

I'm all in on farley. No one else is worthy of the 10th overall pick

I think this is where I would be leaning as well barring a fall by say Sewell, which seems as likely as Jerry giving up Johnny Walker Blue.

If Farley is gone, then I'd like to see a trade or if they have to pick someone, maybe Parsons is there or Surtain. I really don't like the DE options. Rousseau seems high risk, the kid from Michigan? Ehhhh.

This sucks that we have a Top 10 pick in a draft that isn't really strong on elite S or DT prospects.

Three early samplings for Cowboys' no. 10 pick

SBNation: Caleb Farley, CB- West Viginia
Bleacher Report: ReShawn Slater, OT- Northwestern
Sporting News: Patrick Sustain II, CB- Alabama

I am not really keen on Slater being the pick at 10.

Yup no real defensive prospects im sold on. I'll be ok with surtain or parsons if farley is gone. If we play more of a 3-4 I would have jaylon be a pass rushing olb type and have parsons and LVE play the mlbs.

I don't understand why they want us to draft an o lineman every year in the first round. We have the most invested in that group in the entire league currently

not getting the chess match with Philly claim. Philly is going to take a WR with their first pick I can almost guarantee it.Now further down in the draft i can see some similar needs but Phillys biggest need is WR. Ours is secondary and LB as I hope they take care of DT in FA

Parsons and a legit DT is what this defense needs. You can get by with non elite CB with legit front.

Gregory and Dlaw on fine on edge. Need pressure up middle and good LB play.

This team needs to figure out how to draft mid and late round guys and turn them into good players. Not every team builds good OLs just throwing first and second round picks at the position.

Ppl forget most of our 90's line was 4th round and later guys

You aren’t getting parsons
No real standout DT worth a top 10 pick
To me the quality at DT in the second is fairly close to the first

I think the biggest pressing need is OL, DT, CB, LB. I am normally opposed to drafting a CB high in the first if an O-lineman or D-lineman is there. I was pissed when the team drafted Zeke when the team could have traded back and drafted Stanley. The team’s O-line was the strong suit that year, however my logic was that Stanley was an all-pro type T/G and a team can’t pass on a stud lineman. Moot at this point.

Gregory Rousseau plays long at DE, seems very fast for his long frame. Can the Boys pass on him if he is there at 10?

The O line is a pressing need with Smith and Collins out last season. Left Tackle is a huge need. I am not certain on the health of Tyron. I love the man, however his body is breaking down. Rashawn Slater and Wyatt Davis are both studs that should be plug-n-play studs capable of playing guard or tackle. Can Dallas pass on either one? Can the team win games if they don’t control the trench?

CB is a huge need as well. Outside of Diggs, I was disappointed. Surtain to me is the best CB in the draft. He has excellent technique and is the complete DB in man or zone. Farley is a stud at CB, has length and speed.

I don’t see any DTs in the top ten, I do see 3 or 4 QBs going before Dallas picks which will sweeten the pool for the boys. If the Boys have a trade partner they may could trade back and still get Surtain, Farley, Davis or Slater.

In the 3rd or 4th round, I have a friend of the family that I think the Boys should draft at DE. Tarron Jackson. He is a very tall 6’2” DE. Good motor, plays with his head on a swivel, excellent tackler. High character type of man that can play a rotation at DE or DT. Opposing teams schemed away from him in college and he was doubled teamed on most plays. I like that he will help when I need help remolding on farm projects. I don’t know D-law but he and Tarron talk every few months. I think he would be a great addition to the team and will shock everyone with his tenacity. I know he has garnered attention from a few Eagles writers.

Who do you like in the 1st and who is your pet cat? The team's needs are almost identical to the Eagles and Giants. Zero room for errors in the first 3 rounds. The team needs plug-n-play difference makers.

Honestly I would not have any issue taking Leatherwood at #10 hes played Guard and Tackle however I personally think at that spot
I would take Farley CB if he was there than in round 2 because I see strength in round 2 would go DT. Rounds 3 through 7 I'm taking
1-S, 2-LB, 2-OL and maybe another 2-CB. We are receiving comp picks but need a solid draft.

Farley seems like the biggest hope for a defensive player at 10. Parsons gonna end up just out of our reach in the end. Just my guess

You can't go wrong drafting quality Lineman either side if you get the chance. Do not want secondary at 10.
