Not liking his opinion in regard to the LB's. I will give him the fact that he gets to see these guys in practice so he knows more details due to that. I am not really excited about the prospect of Wilber or Durant being counted on. I don't have anything against either of them, I just think they are average at best and are definitely progress stoppers. Lee and Hitchens are the definites, as well as Wilson even though he may face a suspension. If it is Wilber and Durant it is two guys that haven't been good enough to make a difference in the past. Now Broaddus says Wilber is having his best camp, yet he didn't show up at all the other night playing against backups. Smith already looks the best from a movement standpoint than any of the other backers except the starters. It is only natural for him to need playing time, both from the standpoint that he is coming back from injury and hasn't played in almost two years. Nzeocha looked absolutely terrible in the one on ones with Witten, I mean he had absolutely no chance. Not sure why he wasn't featured the other night. Definitely would love to see more of Jones and Gilchrist. Lotulelei didn't flash at all despite a lot of playing time.

Oh, my!
Does another team have so many no-names in its linebacking corps?
The brittle Lee better take his calcium supplements!

Wilson was performing pretty doggone good most of last year, so I'm not seeing it falling off in 2017.
Let's just hope he'll manage to return with a vengeance once his suspension is in the books.

Keep in mind that Broaddus raved about Lotulelei prior to us being able to see him.

Like every year he was wrong and the player looked nothing like what he had described one we could actually see for ourselves.

Neither player looked good in Canton but it was just one game and it was the first live action they'd seen in a while.

I'm going to bet both players (Lotulelei and Wilson) will improve their play.

The thought of Wilber or Durant starting on the strong side puts me to sleep. It's time for youth and speed to hit the field at that position, that means Wilson.

Nzeocha would be my ideal starter but he can't stay heathy. As for getting smoked by Witten, that happens to a lot of LBs, including Sean Lee, when they go one on one against the cagey vet.
