Position battles

I see some great position battles this year:

LG: Kosier vs. Peterman
C: Johnson vs. Gurode
RT: Fabini vs. Pettiti
DE: Ellis vs. Canty
ILB: Ayodele vs. Burnett
FS: Coleman vs. Watkins vs. Davis vs. Beriault

You will also see several battles for the backup linebacker positions.

I see Kosier, Johnson, Fabini, Canty, Ayodele, and Coleman starting (Watkins will start by mid-season.

Singleton, Burnett, Ogbogu, and Shanle will get the backup LB spots.

id say Carpenter and Singelton too. I wouldnt go ahead and just hand over a starting spot to a rookie just yet.

Spears has a DE locked up IMO. Ratliff will be a backup at DE. I don't think he is a threat to win a starting spot at this time. Hatcher will make the team but also will not challenge for a starting spot. I think Coleman is gone.

You're right. He could be in the mix for both guard spots.

i agree with that list but i belive the battle is spears vs canty i think ellis is better then both regardless of his size

Julius is our starter and I wouldn't call a fight for the backup QB job much of a position battle. But there are several on our team.

That should be interesting as Davis is a better fit at SS than FS anyway. Maybe he could end up backing up both positions.
