Position by Position

If Jenkins plays for the Jets, Steelers, Ravens, Giants, or Eagles, I doubt he gets half those PI calls. Those teams are allowed to be far more physical with WRs. Jenkins is a physical player on a finesse team, so he sticks out like a sore thumb.

The guy that needs to go, and I mean before the Jax game is Sensabaugh. He is the worst safety I have ever seen in a Cowboys uniform.....He can't cover, he can't tackle, he can't hit, he has no ball skills whatsoever, he has no read and react skills whatsoever. How this guy made the NFL is beyond me.

Sensabaugh is worse than Alan Ball?

And who do you suggest we replace him with?

I'll wait.

Newman at 32 is better than 98% of the league younger than him.
No, he isn't. Is he a top 10 corner? I don't think so. He's certainly not top 5. I'd say he's somewhere in the top 20.

32 is getting up there. IMO, no position should be off the table, and virtually no player is untouchable, especially not a 32 year old CB.

He's generally played well this year, but he was pathetic last night.

At this point, there aren't too many options.

I'd play the kids.

And hold tryouts weekly!

Churn baby churn!!!

I'll say it until the cows come home, but they better be looking at QB. Romo has age on him, and once you get in a situation where you're desparate at QB, you can get stuck there for years, and wind up doing irrational things like SF and Oakland have done. Or crazy things like drafting Quincy Carter and signing Chad Hutchinson or trading for Drew Henson.

For a change, Jones needs to be proactive, and not wait til he's in the deep stuff.

Yeah...you start looking....on day two of the draft.

Romo is 32, not 42. Where did the idea that 32 is old for a QB come from? The guy could play another 10 years in this league....probably 5-6 good ones.

Would you seriously consider taking a QB in round 1, when he's likely going to spend his entire ridiculously overpaid rookie contract holding a clipboard? I wouldn't.

The talk of addressing a QB early in the draft is 2-3 years premature IMO.

Newman got dinged last night....and outside of one missed tackle, and two blown coverages (one of which the throw was 10 feet over the receiver's head), Newman played a good game.

He's still a damn good CB....and the most underrated player we have IMO. All of the stat queers will never understand...

...but you're right...no position is untouchable. CB needs to be addressed badly. Maybe even in the first round.

Newman is no spring chicken, and he most definitely gets dinged too often.

You haven't watched any football, ever, in your life, if you think Newman isn't that good.

Name me 20 guys you'd take before Newman in this league.

I won't wait on you, because you can't do it. Learn something about the defensive back position before you spout nonsense.

Obviously he's no spring chicken at 32, but for the love of God I hate fantasy football and the Madden generation.

Do we need to address the CB position? Of course - you can't survive with only 1 good CB.

I'd say Patrick Peterson from LSU is the consensus first pick for this team. CB, KR/PR, and elite, #1 corner talent from day 1. Make it an open competition between him and Jenkins, and send Scandrick packing.

I agree Marion Barber can go but Feliz Jones would not be my Starter. I would find out about Tashard Choice the rest of this season. If he doesn't show me anything....I'm looking for a starting RB one who can create his own holes, carry 20 times and stop this silly RBBC.

And you're the guy who was saying last night that Jerry Jones had done a good job....

Newman is a good player. I didn't say there were 20 better. I said there were 10 better. I said that he was somewhere in the top 20. I'd have thought it inherent from reading it the way I wrote it that one would surmise that I think he's somewhere from 11-20, not 21st.

He's a good player, not an elite one. A 32 year old NFL player who isn't elite and makes a lot of $$$ is a prime candidate to start looking for his replacement.

Either your reading comprehension sucks, or my ability to explain myself does.....or more likely, both.

Name them, since you're so all-knowing.

I can name 2 guys in the league RIGHT NOW that I would rather have over Newman, and one guy isn't playing as well as Newman. Revis, and Asomugha.
