Position LB

I think they need to find roles for each, not just a rotational basis:

-Parsons/Jaylon are more downhill run players who offer some rush abilities on the blitz
-Lve, Cox, Neal are our best coverage linebackers

So the Cowboys staff are lying (but won’t admit it) and Jaylon apparently had a secret relationship with Ambar....what other theories you got bro?
You watch games from 2018. Jaylon stopped two of the fastest players in the league at the goal in Watson and Kamara going sideline to sideline. Now he can’t stop the slowest backs. Staffs can’t say anything because of hippa laws smarty:rolleyes:.

Amber, who knows but her and Jaylon. She just attacks him out of nowhere and defends other players.:muttley:

Its pretty obvious that she finds the celebrations and delusion extremely grating. IMO it’s very unlikely to have anything to do with a personal relationship.

Ok. Zeke celebrates and disrespects women but she never says anything negative about him. Zeke was really bad last year. As bad as Jaylon. Jaylon is a good dude off the field. No issues reported about him.

It’s not a rational opinion based on weighing up the evidence or overall performance. It’s about what she has seen herself and really the second hand embarrassment she experiences watching Jaylon.

1. When Jaylon swipes a takeaway which was clearly a TD and was signalled that way.
2. When Jaylon talks about his greatness and hypes his Clear eye view products after the teams has just been beat.
3. When Jaylon seen walking behind play rather than coming across to cover.
4. When Jaylon blows an assignment and missed his gap assignment.

Incidents like that clearly trigger her to an irrational hatred. Say what you want about Zeke but while his celebration is cheesy it doesn’t trigger secondhand embarrassment the same way at Jaylon does.

We could have the best linebacker core in the league by seasons end. We just need to rotate the guys and keep them fresh. I would like to see a rotation of LVE/Parsons followed by Neal/Cox. Jaylon can play the Sam and we can keep him moving forward. Plenty of snaps for the guys to keep them happy and healthy.

Jaylon, LVE, and Neal all have Pro Bowls on their resume.

I think they are your starters. Especially Neal, who is really a S.

I believe Neal is on a 1 year deal though.

the new guys will have to earn it.

You don’t think Parsons is starting? They will all play but Parsons will probably get the most snaps. I am looking forward to seeing how this plays out. The rotation will benefit all the linebackers.

- Neal is a wait and see as he's transitioning learning curve to LB (I think it's more of a nickel LB role)
- Parson and Cox will also be on a learning curve as rookies having to learn NFL and Quinn's system;

- Jaylon is durable but he's average LB overall his minuses out weight his pluses at this point. Only way to
get best out is scheme him much like what happened in 2018 when he could just fly and hit down the line with
minimizing asking to do much more.

- LVE can cover RBs/TEs, has more change direction/agility, has INT skills that Jaylon just doesn't have,
if he could ever stay healthy and coached up/schemed well he could still be a potentially very solid player; I think works best at WLB
where he can cover the flanks and wouldn't have to sustain interior pound between the tackles.
Basically a Sean Lee like to outside LB would salvage him longer (if he/team agreed to extend contract)

- Bernard is still quite an unknown, and frankly i'm ready to move on from very fragile prone Luke Gifford;
I see us keeping 6 backers on 53 roster:
1) Parson
2) Cox
3) LVE
4) Jaylon
5)) Neal
6) Bernard

Need I dare say a position of strength? If the scheme was the issue with Jaylon and LVE then this will most definitely be a position of strength. Parsons by himself will prevent some of those 3rd and long that teams have been converting on us for years.

Francis Bernard
53 LB 6-1 230 26 2 Utah

Jabril Cox
48 LB 6-3 233 23 R LSU

Luke Gifford
57 LB 6-3 243 25 3 Nebraska

Azur Kamara
43 LB 6-4 235 22 2 Kansas

Keanu Neal
42 LB 72 211 25 6 Florida

Micah Parsons
11 LB 6-3 245 21 R Penn State

Jaylon Smith
54 LB 6-2 245 25 5 Notre Dame

Leighton Vander Esch
55 LB 6-4 256 24 4 Boise State

Gifford/Kuzma are toast!

Lol, my hair looks like Jaylon's, but with grey and blonde (the Viking genes) streaks.

No, I don't have braids/dreds, but it's super curly so it looks like that.
Wife laughed out loud when she saw the pic.

Crap, we got the same beard too. His is more shaped.
I need to separate from the pack!

You make our visits here golden. Kudo’s to @Corso

strong group.
can't wait to watch our young nittnay lion.
hopefully Van Jaylon finds their rhythm again.
excited about Neal and Cox.
gonna be a fun pre-season.

I'm definitely looking forward to the pre-season to see these rooks play. It'll be fun to watch.

* is that a typo,or is the #42 really 7' 2" tall?

I like the addition of Jabril Cox to our LB group. He's the cover guy we've been needing so we can bench Jaylon on passing downs.
