Position WR

They love Brown but Fehoko seems to have a similar skill set but has much more speed.

Yeah. I like Brown too for his role. As a 5th receiver and special teams guy. Nothing against him.

I could see them going with the cheaper rookie though, who are under contract for 4 more years. As opposed to Brown who is only under contract for 1.

should be an interesting camp battle though.

and yes I think Fehoko has much more speed. The raw tools are strong with him. Will be cool to see if he can develop those raw tools into something.

The WR position is a strength for the Cowboys. It's going to be tough sorting out which players make the 53-man roster. They may have to nit-pick to make this decision. Fehoko's man-bun alone could be reason enough to cut him. :p

The Cowboys have one of the deepest and most talented WR corp in the NFL. The competition in training came for those past couple of positions is going to be fun to watch.

Noah Brown
85WR6-2225255Ohio State

Amari Cooper
19WR6-1210267Alabama

Simi Fehoko
81WR6-3220N/ARStanford

Michael Gallup
13WR6-1198254Colorado State

Stephen Guidry
16WR6-4200241Mississippi State

CeeDee Lamb
88WR6-2189222Oklahoma

Aaron Parker
18WR6-3208221Rhode Island

Malik Turner
17WR6-2202254Illinois

Cedrick Wilson
1WR6-2200254Boise State
The Cowboys should keep 6 wide receivers. I would rather have Brown, Wilson and Fehoko over that trash quarterback Dinoochi.

Thanks, bro. The way you post the pictures with the names really gives me a good understanding of where we stand at the position.

I think they go with 6 again.
Cooper, Lamb, Gallup of course are locks. And no Gallup is still not getting traded.

Wilson and Brown are next up, however both have been prone to past injuries, though last year did they get over that.
I know many do not like Brown, but he does bring value, however both these players could get pushed for a roster spot or playing time. I think at least one stays, if not both.

The 6th WR was Turner, but more for ST's. I think Fehoko over takes him easily. Then there is Vasher. Want to see what he does in TC. I know many will think he will make the team. However is was an UDFA. But I liked him in college.

So the last 3 WR's will be between, Brown, Wilson, Fehoko, Vasher.

My take for now:
Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Brown, Wilson, Fehoko and Vasher on the PS.
I think we carry 6 also
I think the top 4 are set with the obvious and Wilson who showed much more than brown as a receiver
So to me brown and the rookies are fighting for 2 spots
Brown has one advantage in that he’s a solid ST player
For two rookies to bump him off, one will have to show something on ST or both

Did Malik Turner even hit the playing field per gameday Active list ?
1 - Cooper
2 - Lamb
3 - Gallup
4 - Simi
5- Wilson
6 ? Turner/Brown

i believe we'll keep 6 WRs as we usually do.

I'm giddy about this receiver corps! If the O-line remains healthy and protects, this offense is going to be frightening for opponents.

He got in some late game action later in the year. I think he even caught a TD pass. Not very many targets.
Would need to look it up.

Having seen all of these Rocky position threads it is apparent the Cowboys have no weaknesses. Quite possibly the greatest roster in NFL history.

You could make that case. At least one of.

Think they're going to keep 6 for sure, and at least another one on the PS (Vasher, Guidry).

This is, by far, the best WR group in the NFL.

Many people here tell me the front office is a big joke, the GM an idiot, and McClay is past his prime. Yet, they somehow luck into the best WR corps in the league, a pass happy league at that. Imagine that.

are you thinking of the other WR we picked up off the streets that was playing special teams before he got hurt -and ran into off field issues to which he
was never asked to return ?

Just looked it up, it was 2019, Ventrell Bryant I was thinking of.

what's gonna be interesting is Simi's receiving skills, tools and potential vs Cedrick Wilson.
He's much faster, and he's bigger than Wilson- who after that huge Seattle game (and all the busted Seahawks coverages) did not show up in pass game for better part
of the season. Simi could bring a bigger size/speed element to the game than Wilson.

Wilson already has a leg up on Simi as far as NFL game experience and familiarity with Kellen moore offense, as well as rapport with Dak.
But i'm very interested to see how OTAs and this summer camp and preseason holds out for Simi. who is also supposed to be very valuable on special teams as well.

I mean, I think they overpaid for Amari and did luck into CD lol.

Simi takes Turner's spot for sure IMO. Can Vasher beat out Wilson or Brown though. Both bring something that Vasher needs to show much more to take a roster spot.
Also remember in the past they kept 7 WR's at times, but partly due to injuries, before the change of the 3 week IR rule from last season.
