Yea, our defense looked pretty bad last night. However, looking at our schedule, maybe it's not as bad as it seems. We don't play many teams this year with powerful, dynamic offenses. The next two weeks we've got Miami and Chicago. Neither are offensive powerhouses. The week after that we've got St. Louis. They've got a good offense, but not much defense. Washington's offense sucks; Philly's offense is good but not great. Green Bay has a poor offense; Minnesota has a below average passing attack; Buffalo's offense sucks; the Jet's offense is average; etc. New England and the Giants in N.Y. are the only offenses I see us having a lot of trouble with. We should be able to match St. Louis since they most likely won't be able to stop us, especially at home.
The bottom line is, we should be able to outscore most of these teams, some with ease. If we get Newman back (God I hope so) and Ellis is able to contribute somewhat, we should be fine. The Ferguson injury is extremely troublesome, but we've just got to make some adjustments.
