The top-rated prospects still on my Cowboys-oriented value board:

Duke Robinson, OG, Oklahoma... he's fallen much further than I thought he would, but I still like him...

James Casey, FB/TE, Rice... this is who I'm hoping for at 69...

Jarron Gilbert, DE, San Jose State... made to be a 3-4 DE...

Darry Beckwith, LB, LSU... has the skills to be a good WILB, cover 'backer, in the NFL...

Marcus Freeman, LB, Ohio State... has good speed for a LB, but again, the Boys like him more than I do...

Lawrence Sidbury, Jr., LB, Richmond... great speed for a LB, but raw...

Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma... the Boys like him, too...

Keenan Lewis, CB/FS, Oregon State... this time, I like him better than the Boys do...

Chip Vaughn, S, Wake Forest...

Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama...

Kraig Urbik, OG, Wisconsin...

Antoine Caldwell, C/OG, Alabama... the best center left on the board...

Stephen McGee, QB, Texas A&M... if the Boys can't pick up Casey, McGee might be the Wildcat QB they'd be targeting...

Jerry has 2 picks in the first 11 when the draft opens tomorrow, there's 13 prospects who would offer good value in that range... they can stay put and get two of these players...

My preferences-- Casey, Iglesias, Caldwell... any two of those three would make me a rather happy Bear...

If we pick Casey at 69 I'm going to have some serious headaches the next few weeks trying to wrap my mind around it. There's one pick that will send me over the edge and he's the one.

I genuinely believe that Stephen McGee will be a starting QB in this league one day. The guy got screwed over in college, but he has all the tools and is a great runner

Not me. If he's the best guy available, take him. Please, please take him (or whoever that is).

No third rounder is going to come in and save the day. We need the best guy that can provide adequate depth and present the best chance of challenging for a starting job in, oh, two years (like 2011).

If we get caught in the web of thinking we just *have* to walk away from the third and fourth rounds with, say, a safety, outside linebacker, guard and wide receiver, we're going to walk away with a handful of players we're aggressively trying to replace in two seasons.

That's my two cents at least.

Jarius Byrd, CB/FS, Oregon... the Boys like him, I'm not that wild about him...

Jarron Gilbert, DE, San Jose State... made to be a 3-4 DE...

Darry Beckwith, LB, Georgia... has the skills to be a good WILB, cover 'backer, in the NFL...

Give me Duke Robinson OG, Jarron Gilbert DE, either Rashad Johnson or Chip Vaughn at S, and either Mike Thomas or Iglesias WR/KR in that order, and we steal day 2 of this draft.

I'd like to see Jasper Brinkley on Dallas soon, personally.

And of course my boy Kenny Mac.

Me too. :D

I would like Michael Johnson at #75. As a pass rush specialist, he would have more immediate impact than Sidbury, especially from the strongside.

If not Johnson, then of your choices either Caldwell or Iglesias.
