Byron Leftwich is still unsigned. I know he's not that good, but he does have some experience as a starter and isn't as old as Brad Johnson. He is good enough to get us some wins if Romo suffers an injury.

NO Byron Leftwich. The guy is a bum and has always been a bum...I'd rather stick with Old Brad.

I heard he was working out for TN this week but I haven't heard anything else. My only problem with signing him would be he's the total opposite of Romo. He's Bledsoe only with a slower delivery.

Don't like it... I get the idea Leftwich doesn't handle being a backup very well and might be a bit of a clubhouse lawyer.

He impressed a lot of people (including me I admit) with his bowl game performance when he won the game with his O-line carrying him down the field between plays. The problem has been that he has been injured ever since. He can't move, his delivery is slow and he is not all that accurate. He would be a huge liability for us.

We should sent Greg Ellis and a 2nd rounder to Bill Parcells for Quincy Carter.

Maybe you've seen Leftwich play. I admit I haven't but do know that after he was cut by his old team, he was brought in by the Jags head coach as their starter. Well that idea sure ended real quick partly because of his very slow delivery which requries too much from any OL. Bet the Jags are real happy now with Gerrard. Only way I'd go along with bringing Leftwich in would be if Jason Garrett could do something about his slow delivery.

I thought the Jags signed him straight outta college.. Didn't he replace Brunell?

He was drafted by Jax and signed with Atl after being cut.

That's what I thought... He played college ball before signing with the Jags. Therefore, he wasn't cut.

Which is it? He's not that good, but he's good enought? That doesn't make sense. Let's bring in Joey Harrington when he gets cut by the Falcons. Better yet, how about Paul Smith from Tulane that just got cut.

There's a reason why he tried out for Tennessee and left town without an offer. I really don't think he's good enough to be a backup. Poor mechanics, can't keep his weight down, and the list goes on, and on, and on.

Brad may not have a big arm...he never did. But he is smarter, is still a LOT more mobile, has better accuracy and a much quicker release than Lefty.

Conclusion...Yes he CAN be worse than Brad.

I never thought he was that bad in the pros.

You have to protect him. But the guy can sling the ball.

I dont completely understand the blackball he is getting from the league.

Leftwich sucks. He has the slowest windup/release in the NFL, makes a lot of bonehead decisions, and he's fat and slow. No thanks.

Leftwich plays with lots of heart but I don't think he would fit well here.

Ferris wheel delivery and cement feet.
