Patrick Ramsey is gonna get released. What do you guys of maybe him being our backup? Free agency isn't deep at qb this year. I would take him. If not, maybe Anthony Wright. But i wouldn't pay too much for Damon Huard. Tim Rattay is also possible.

I wouldn't be mad if we did sign him..... I do like him and think he could be something special.

He's an easily flustered, chubby loser. No to Ramsey.

I know for a fact that he grew up as a Cowboys fan. His brother used to be a member at Extremeskins when he was the QB there and he once admitted that. I count that as a plus. :)

I admired his toughness. Didn't matter how hard we hit him he kept getting back up. One thing concerned me about how many hits he used to take. His team never helped him up. They did Brunnell. I always wondered about that.

He did get hit a lot. Never noticed his fellow Commanders didn't help him up. Typical. Dallas put some big hits on the guy.

I'd rather have someone with a few more skins on the wall than Patrick Ramsey or Kyle Boller. I really don't think the Ravens will release Boller to be honest with you. Steve McNair isn't exactly the most healthy quarterback down the stretch of a season.

For Boller, I'm sure it will come down to money, but you may be right.

Where was this mentioned?

This is the latest clipping I can find:

McCareins, Barrett, Ramsey won't be cut now
Feb. 22 - 11:39 am et

Although they are not expected to be Jets in 2007, Justin McCareins and David Barrett may not be released until much later in the offseason.
They may even enter Jets training camp because there's no urgency yet to get rid of them with money under the cap. Patrick Ramsey falls into the same boat but apparently now has a decent shot to make the final roster. Feb. 22 - 11:39 am et
