Possible Cowboys Target Kenrick Ellis Tumbling?

According to the Ticket, he failed a dope test. Add that to his expulsion from South Carolina a few years ago, and it's not looking good.

If that's true then I was completely wrong about the guy and no longer want him, would this test have been at the combine or what?

Apparently because that's where the Ticket get their info from and the last time these players are tested.

I thought I had read somewhere he failed "multiple" drug tests but i cant find it now

I still haven't heard a peep about this anywhere.

Is it possible they were referring to his past troubles or misinformed?

We heard about Ballard and Houston's failed drug tests, but Ellis' failed test isn't mentioned until the end of the first day of the draft?

There is a guy named Frank Kearse from Alabama A&M who the Steelers, Packers, and the Cowboys had for a visit. A name to keep an eye on in later rounds.

Two guys on my 'wish list' seem to be falling for vastly different reasons - Marcus Cannon and now Ellis.

I wouldn't mind rolling the dice on either or both in rounds 4 and 5.

no way ellis lasts to the 4th
someone will take him in 3
too much talent
i would vote we take him in late 3 if he is there by trading up with our 4th

If reports are true several teams are reporting a recently revealed "character issue" with Ellis that may cause him to drop several rounds if not out of the draft all together.

Character issues? Smoking pot?

Aaron Williams, Brandon Harris, Ben Ijalana, Stephen Paea, Mason Foster.

One guy I also really like is Stefen Wisniewski from Penn State. I think you'd be set for a decade at center with him.

Not all that crazy about taking him at #40, but I fear that if we don't, we'll be dealing with him solidifying the Giants' line for the next 10+ years.

I talk to Kenrick all the time on Twitter he is not druggy also I know South Carolina very Conserivate state they don't like you they will kick you if do anything wrong. I will say this once once only he not druggy and very nice great guy to be friends with and he also cheer up when something back happen to me. His former coach never ever got along with players well. I would take Kenrick Ellis with low two or early Third.

Thanks for the intel.

He'd be a great pickup for the cowboys. they need a big nose tackle in there.

He's not just big, he's a very good athlete. I like him more than I like Phil Taylor even.

Interesting.. I would guess if NFL teams know this, he's back in play.. I wonder of the Cowboys took him off their board ?

They were, he should of went in the 2nd and he has legal issues that have not been resolved. I'm sure it's not the last you will hear of it.

I think that this is probably what we talked about earlier Count. Just guessing but it sounds like the same concerns.

Now we know why Ellis dropped .

Ellis was arrested a year ago after a campus altercation and is facing a felony charge, according to the Newport News (Va.) Daily Press. He faces a July 12 jury trial and a possible 20 years in prison.

Thats not news. His fight had been widely reported and there's no way he gets jail time if you ask me.

Not that it matters at this point.
