I like to look at possible draft trades for the Cowboys, using the traditional draft chart, which teams still stick pretty closely to. Last year when I did this, I had the possible trade with Philly as 10+115 for 12+84. Of course, they did better, getting a 70-point premium from Philly. The team trading up often pays a bit extra, so they could do slightly better on the trades up and worse on the trades down than I come up with. I'll limit trades to those where the team trading up pays between a 0% and 5% premium.

Trading down, staying in the 1st:
DAL 24+129+155 for DET 32+66 (close to 5% premium)
DAL 24 for DET 32+97+177+181
DAL 24 for DET 32+97+2023 3rd-4th rounder

DAL 24 for CIN 31+95+136
DAL 24+88 for CIN 31+63+136

DAL 24 for KC 29/30+103+135
DAL 24+88 for KC 29/30+62

DAL 24+129 for GB 28+92
DAL 24 for GB 28+132+140+171 (gives DAL 9 picks from 129-193, the rest of the NFL can take a nap)

DAL 24+129 for TB 27+91

DAL 24 for TEN 26+131
DAL 24+129+155 for TEN 26+90

DAL 24 for BUF 25+130/168

Trading up in the 1st:
DAL 24+56 for PHI 15

DAL 24+56 for NO 16+120

DAL 24+88+129+155 for LAC 17 (anything with LAC would probably involve a future pick instead)

DAL 24+88+155/167/176/178 for PHI 18

DAL 24+88 for NO 19

DAL 24+88 for PIT 20(+138/208) (PIT should throw in one of those later picks, but 24+88 for 20 is still within 5%)

DAL 24+129+155 for NE 21
DAL 24+88 for NE 21+127+158

DAL 24+129 for GB 22

DAL 24+129 for ARI 23

The Jets have #35 & #38.

The Seahawks have #40 & #41.

I'll take this in a heartbeat.......give me 29, 30, 56 and 62. Chance to draft four potential starters.
i dont think we would get both 1st round picks. i think that means either pick 29 or 30 plus pick 62. that would be a heist pulled off if we got 2 1st and a 2nd for pick 24 and a 3rd lol
Yes, that's correct. You get one of those first-rounders, not both.

I prefer to avoid trading up. If a top 10 player is falling down the board big time then I think there are red flags we dont know about and im gonna chance he falls into our lap, rather then give up premium picks to go get him.

Now im in favor of trading down. Give me that trade with Tampa Bay. Fall down 3 spots and pick up another top 100 pick. Yes please.

Really think the trade up would be in the 2nd to see if we could get a top wide receiver that might fall out of the 1st round. Dotson, Pickens, Moore.

Those two teams were my targets to trade back for. The Jets would cost us 24 and 56. I liked that because I don't believe the talent level is that much higher at 24. But a lot of good players will go before 56.

Trading up higher than 15: (adding this because there's been some hinting around at it)

DAL 24+56+88 for MIN 12(+156)

DAL 24+56+88 for WAS 11
DAL 24+56+2023-2 for WAS 11

DAL 24+88+2023-1 for NYJ 10

DAL entire 2022 draft for SEA 9
DAL 24+88+129+2023-1 for SEA 9

DAL 24+56+129+2023-1 for ATL 8+114
DAL 24+88+129+2023-1+2023-3 for ATL 8
