Orlondo Steinauer is the HC of the Hamilton Tiger-cats. Here's a link about him: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orlondo_Steinauer. To give you some background on him, he went to Western Washington University where he played CB and PR. He enjoyed a CFL career that lasted from 1996-2008 for 3 different teams. He won 2 Grey Cups (the championship in the Canadian league) during that span. He then began coaching with the Toronto Argonauts as a DBC for the 2010-2011 seasons. He won a Grey Cup as the DBC in 2012 with Toronto. He became the DC with Hamilton for the 2013-2016 seasons. He followed that up with a stint at Fresno State as the DC in 2017 before returning to Canada to be the Assistant Coach with Hamilton in 2018. He became the HC in 2019 and led the Tiger-Cats to the Grey Cup Final where they lost to the Calgary Stampeders. In that season, the Tiger-cats went 15-3. The CFL didn't play the 2020 season due to COVID. I know that the style of the CFL is different to the style of the NFL, but I think that he could make a good DC for us. With how big the fields are in the CFL, you do need a good defence which they did that season.

Personally I should be hired tbh. Then promoted to GM. I can guarantee more than 6 wins than last year and a sb in less than 25 years.

He should get a REAL interview but.........yeah.

I agree. I think at the very least, he should get an interview to have a chance to be the DB coach. But I doubt he'd leave a nice HC job in Canada to be the DB coach here. DC he might go for.

Schwartz hates the cowboys don’t he? I wonder how much of Jerry’s money it would take to swallow that pill.

yeah, the Jones clan ain't probably familiar with him and not part of the good ole boy network around here. And CFL is another strike against him. So let's just say its a noooo on that one.

I actually live in Hamilton Ontario and go to quite a few Ticats games.

He is a very very good defensive coach, his players gravitate to him for sure.

Obviously very different schemes up here but its a nice shout and its the kind of out if the box thinking we should be striving for, not the constant regurgitation of the same has beens

I like the outside the box thinking but this line from article in Canada scared me off lol

Steinauer's thematic, and sometimes-complicated, defensive systems always require a comprehensive buy-in from the rest of the defensive coaching staff, who in turn sell it to their position players.
