I was thinking the other night, about what the Cowboys seasons ended up being in the years ending in 5. Here is what I came up with. I only did from 1975-1995 as I wasn't alive in 1965.

1975: Made Super Bowl
1985: Won Division, lost playoff game
1995: Won Division, won Super Bowl
2005: ?

My point is, every year that ended in 5 for the last three decades, we have made the playoffs. That's why I'm very hopeful for this year with all of the additions that we made and such.

I know, I know, I have too much time on my hands :D . I just want TC to arrive and soon.

1965 found the Cowboys with a 7-7 record and tied for second in the NFC East.

Would love to see that trend continue. Wouldn't it be a real burning stick in the eye to the Iggles and their fanbase if we won the division this year? (Yeah, I know, dream on, but it could happen couldn't it?) ;)

Unfortunately, historical trends don't continue.

If they did Reagan would have died in office, the 20 year even number jinx.

Bush would have lost to Kerry, first term great President every 72 years.

Here's to this trend ending in 2015.:D

All:

I know trends don't last, but here's hoping we can do well enough to at least make the playoffs.
