Dan Quinn if San Diego(LAC) doesn't steal him first.

I honestly think it's Quinn if MM is fired.........Jerry would let him pick his own OC. If you recall, at least 3-4 of his assistants with the Falcons went on to become HCs. In other words, he can attract solid coaches.

How about Quinn with Jon Gruden as OC........

Unless the dolphin OC is bringing Tua and Hill with him, I’ll pass. That’s a weak list.

Bruh...we're 4-2 and likely to be looking at 5-2.

Like...do people just not like Mike Mccarthy because he's Hefty? It's annoying dude.

Not the worse option.

If DQ gets the Head Coach job, here's my hypothetical shortlist for OC:

  • Matt Campbell, Head Coach, Iowa State - Outside of Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay, he's one of the brightest offensive minds in football. At some point, he's going to need to get out of Ames to take it to the next level, and being the OC for the Dallas Cowboys is a heck of a way to do just that (I realize this is a long shot).
  • Kliff Kingsbury, Senior Offensive Analyst, USC - He's still getting paid around $30M by Arizona but loves football enough to work 6 days a week assisting his friend Lincoln Riley. Now, USC's offense has been up and down, and Kingsbury had issues as a head coach, but he knows offensive football. His Cardinals' offenses posted 400 plus yards over 20 times and 14 of those games, put up 30 or more points. He may be exactly what Dak needs.
  • Zac Robinson, QB and Pass Game Coordinator, Rams - This is my sleeper pick. I attended Rams training camp this year and I was impressed with Zac's energy and enthusiasm. He challenged the QB's all practice long and honestly, looked like a better QB than everyone not named Matthew Stafford. He's spent the last 4 years under Sean McVay and he should be ready for the next step. You may remember him from Oklahoma State, he also had a quick 4-year NFL career with stops at New England, Seattle, Detroit, and Cincinnati.
  • Joe Brady, QB coach, Bills - He was the next big thing after the 2019 LSU national championship run. He struggled in his first NFL OC gig in Carolina but has spent the last two seasons as Josh Allen's QB coach. He could be primed to run his own offense again.
  • Klint Kubiak, Offensive Passing Game Specialist - You recognize the last name, he has been coaching since 2019 before working under Shanahan this year.
  • Brian Griese, QB coach, 49ers - This may be too soon for him but I got to talk to him at the Super Bowl two years ago and he was passionate about getting into coaching and left a good TV gig to do it.

If the Bengals moved on from Zac Taylor or the Vikings prematurely moved on from Kevin O'Connell, they would join my list.

Against Eagles they had weird route concepts on several plays where wr were within 3 yards of each other, led to a pick on one of em.

Shane Waldron, offensive coordinator, Seahawks
Eh.
Frank Smith, offensive coordinator, Dolphins
Eh. Mike McDaniel is very hands on for the offensive playcalling. I'm not sure Smith is not just a guy running drills at practice.

Ben Johnson, offensive coordinator, Lions
One of the few head coaches that may work. Just let him run the offense. It's too early in his career for him to be worried about roster control.
Brian Callahan, offensive coordinator, Bengals
Eh.

Eric Bieniemy, assistant head coach and offensive coordinator, Commanders
No thank you. Players and other coaches do not like him at all.

Dan Quinn will be another waste of time as HC. He had only two winning seasons as HC with Atlanta and his team coughed up the biggest Super Bowl lead in NFL history. All his teams ever did was cough up leads when he was an HC. The Cowboys overcame a 20 point deficit against his Falcons three years ago. He’s one of those coaches that’s better suited as a coordinator. I don’t know how any fan could get excited about him being the next Cowboys HC.
Did Quinn cough the SB up ...?
Or was it OC Kyle Shanahan .. who also coughed up another SB vs Chiefs ( by again abandoning the run game)

Dan Quinn has to take responsibility he was the HC. You can’t blame the OC for a defense coughing up a 27 point lead. San Francisco lost the Super Bowl to KC because Jimmy G missed a throw late in the game and San Francisco’s defense couldn’t stop Mahomes.

I think Quinn replacing McCarthy is a very likely scenario….we can hope that Jerry gives him the rope to choose his own coordinators, which would be a first for him, not counting the very beginning.

Robinson is intriguing for sure.

And not only this and that, ..but the Jones are going to continue the mission of " win it now " and may not
want to " experiment " with the risk of a Nathaniel Hackett disaster.

They may very likely want to continue with a guy they can hit the "ground running " and who they are
well familiar with and have a great deal of respect and enthusiasm for - believe in his system,
and his leadership qualities.

That guy is already in their sights, imo .. that I think they will trust in Quinn
Although I do get the feeling the Jones will " tickering " with his new coaching staff, handpick
his OC, and new OL coach and " suggest" Quinn keeps TE coach Lunda Wells and special teams
coach Bones Fassell.

if you look back at it .. Niners stopped running the ball, and put it in the hands of Jimmy Grapp,
Big Mistake !

I would have to look back at it. I do remember Jimmy G not playing well and missing a big throw late in the game that might have won the game for San Francisco. When you get to the Super Bowl at some point your QB has to make a play. Jimmy G didn’t and Mahomes did.
