Kansas City Chiefs.... Well I was thinking if the Cowboys bundle up a deal to get to the 5th pick (just in case Oakland don't draft McFadden) Why would Kansas City Chiefs be interested into trading with the Cowboys? Remember 2003 NFL DRAFT (RYAN SIMS to Kansas City instead of Minnesota) Why? Because of the middle man > COWBOYS.

I believe Jerry should package up::

1st Round (This Year 28th)
3rd Round (This Year)
6th Round (This Year)
2nd Round (Next Year)
5th Round (Next Year)
Akin Adoyle

For the 5th pick in the first round of this year's draft.

The logic in this is, if Oakland doesn't draft McFadden and the only next logical team to do it is New York Jets, where the price would be even more if we decide to trade up NYJ. This would mean that the Kansas City Chiefs would gain an potential pro bowl Inside or Outside Linebacker, 2 more draft choices for this year including a 3rd and 6th Round, and a 2nd and 5th round for next year, meaning they would have two 2nd Rd Draft choices next year...

I believe Jerry should package up::

1st Round (This Year 28th)
3rd Round (This Year)
6th Round (This Year)
2nd Round (Next Year)
5th Round (Next Year)
Kevin Burnett
Akin Adoyle

To Oakland For::

4th Pick (1st Round)
Fabian Washington

I'd rather see Jerry trade DOWN at 28 for two of Atlanta's second round picks. Way better value than trading up. We'd get CB,RB, WR and what ever Oline or Dline depth we could need between rounds one and four.

That would be a very very bad deal

Yep. There's no good reason to trade up that high and I prefer not to at all.

I absolutely agree. 34 and 48 for the 28 would thrill me.

What do you think the Cowboys should give up?

no more than both 1sts and a 3rd(or higher pick) like #22,#28 and our 3rd or #22,#28 and a player(akin). I like McFadden as much as anybody but i'm not gonna give up 5 picks when those teams might wanna move out of that spot in the 1st place. plus oakland only has 1 pick(#4 overall) in the 1st 3 or 4 rounds.

I just believe the safe thing to do is keep two first round draft choices for this year and Marion Barber of course....Akin Adoyle can be replaced.

The idea of trading up for McFadden? :p:

That's all it is, an idea. Nine times out of ten that won't be used. More like what a whole lot of people call wishful thinking.:p:

not me. i'd take 1 really good player over 2 average players which atleast 1 of maybe both won't start.

you realize, according to the draft value chart, which may or may not be still in use by NFL teams, this makes absolutely zero sense for Atlanta. You don't drop down 6 picks and get a second.

I was checking out the point value chart, and according to it, we would still get the better end of the deal if we traded our #22 pick for that. I know that it isn't exact now-a-days, but still, the points are pretty off if we were trading down from #28. I was thinking of trading down from #22 (if the top four corners are gone), and getting those picks from ATL, then take Phillips at 28, and a RB, CB, and WR, in no particular order, in the 2nd round.
