Today was the first time in a really long time i was mad at the outcome of a Cowboys game. Usually a loss or win doesnt affect me. But today i was disgusted with what i saw over and over again.

I saw the team once again start out flat, like so many games this yr and previous yrs. This IMO is bad preperation and that is on the staffs shoulders. I know, its like a broken record. And this is echoed by fans media ex players ex coaches sources of this team and other teams.

This is the time where Jerrys inability to say no to players has cost him. As clearly Dallas needs people but cant afford it because so much dead money and people getting money that are contributing to the betterment of this team. In this aspect this is all Jerrys fault.

Jason Garrett should be fired immediately or Bill Callahan. One or the other. I think Jerry is trying to ride with Garrett but his system just doesnt work. It didnt work for SD when it was created and its not going to work now. The routes are vanilla and predictable. The down by down sequence is so predictable that us fans can usually guess whats going to be run next. Its pathetic and thats putting it nicely.

OL yes the OL had a few hiccups but for the most part they did a pretty decent job. Tyrons penalty was a killer tho. But today i actually saw just how much Doug Free has grown. When Waters went out it was Free barking the line assignments and they didnt do bad at all. Fredrick was as good as can be expected going up against DETs DTs.

Running game, started out good, moved some chains but as true to form the opposing DEf adjusted but Dallas genius coaching staff decided it was best to stay the same. Randle was more fluid in his cuts and his reads came faster but when ur trying to run the same plays over and over they will stop working.

QB play.......Garbage. You all can tout that fool for his yards and his 500 yrd game vs denver. Ill look at his bad throws. The guy has no velocity on his throws and are always lows and behind. Romo was the drive killer today. Over and over he killed drives with his bad throws.

WR TE core TW had some drops but alot were just not there. He needs to catch anything that hits his hands tho. Hes too good not to. Dez while i can understand why he was mad is a Dbag for doing it likke that. You dont yell have coaches teammates like that. This forum crucified TO for this but are praising Bryant? He should get some kind of punishment.Romo and the coaches made Witten Beasly and Bryant scrubs today. I understand DET was doubling Dez but so was Dallas on megatron. And there was some good coverage on him but Stafford put the ball where it needed to be. Romo i dont think can do that anymore. Atleast he hasnt shown the ability to. Except for the 500 yrd game that some posters feel rivals a superbowl.

DEF as a whole

I cant blame them for today. Sure they gave up yards but until the 4th that was all dead yards. Because the score was 10-7 Dallas. The 4th quarter that defense was gassed. Carr was torched by the best Wr in football. But the remaining passing attack? was about 120 yrds for everybody else. Thats very good. Twards the end of the game Dallas had Hamilton and Heath at S. The Def giftwrapped this game for the O today but they let us down.

And the head coach has to be partially (at least) to blame for this.

I missed most of the second half (thank goodness!) but I am shocked to hear Johnson went off for all those yds!

Embarrassing.

I've never been a Garrett fan.

5-3 would've been so nice. We blew it. Detroit is mediocre so it hurts that much more to let this one get away. Could have playoff ramifications.

3 drives were ended in the 3rd quarter on flat-out drops. Two were passes that would have netted first downs deep in Detroit territory and were perfect throws. Then in the 4th Romo threw two more TD passes that gave the team 10 points leads twice. After that the HC never gave him another chance to put the game away

What hurt the most today was seeing that this team remains a deserving object of ridicule and embarrassment. Continuous dysfunctional incompetence over this length of time is freaking inexcusable for this wealthy franchise, it defies all logic and tells you all you need to know about the front office.

Not really. Either we win the East or we are sitting at home. I suppose it could affect seeding if Detroit wins the North, but that's not likely.

the garrett/callahan offense fails to deliver consistently.

the o-line is much improved... but we'll still need a guard next year.

the wide receivers can be special. dez and t-will are already a legit 1-2 combination. harris is a difference maker on special teams. bease can be a 50-catch guy.

witten is still money, but he gets shut down too much. i haven't seen anything from the other tight ends to make me think they can be significant contributors.

our running backs are mediocre. not bad, but... in 10 years, will we remember them?

romo polarizes people. i'm in the camp that thinks his critics are nuts.

our d-line is a bunch of nobodies who are scrapping and fighting admirably... but they can't hold up for 4 quarters. even if ware and hatcher and crawford come back next year all healthy and full of fire, we need a stud tackle and end.

our linebackers... without sean lee, we're lost. god help us if we lose him.

cornerbacks have been better than average so far, especially when pressing. although carr will have to do some soul searching for this one.

safeties sure can hit. church is great near the line, wilcox brings the lumber and heath made a bunch of plays tonight.

bailey is money and jones is good.

the biggest problem this team has is coaching, however.

They played with a sense of urgency. We played tentative, and it cost us big time. What an inexcusable loss.

Garrett plays not to lose and it costs us in games where the opposing team has playmaking QBs and receivers. We see how explosive our offense can be when we hit Dez and T Williams down the field and yet we DON'T DO IT. We knew we had to score a lot against Denver and we let Romo throw down the field, but it's obvious our offense is tailored to play to the level of whatever team we are facing. Every game after that, we hardly throw down the field. Coincidence?

Garrett surmised we could win today like we did against inept Wash and Philly. He always takes the safe route

that is a perfect post. And the team is an embarrassment too. When you have a head coach and a GM that are both below league average, it ain't gonna be pretty.

I'm trying to think here...who are the former QBs, that have made good NFL head coaches? I know Bart Starr stunk. Harbaugh seems to be doing okay, but if you watched him play...his style was more of a LB than a QB. Catchers in baseball tend to make great managers. What about QBs in football?

Garrett was a QB? Oh you mean clipboard holder lol

Supposedly he learned at the feet of the greats yet he coaches nothing like them. He absolutely shrinks during games. Romo pleads with him every game like a child wanting to go play outside.

Romo fans judge him by the wrong standards. They look at him and say, he's no longer turning the ball over. His interception are down. I judge tony on the lack of production by this offense. I judge tony on the fact the cowboys really do nothing well on offense. I judge tony on Dez Bryant being nothing more than a shinny object who serves no real purpose. What does Dez do that no team can stop because their chemistry is is so great? The goal line stuff. I'll give you that. But what about the other 95 yards? They make it up from week to week. Manning and Welker do the same thing every week. Same with decker and Thomas. Irvin and aikman. Rice and Montana/young. Big Ben and Hines ward. They all did the same thing every week. It's an adventure from week to week with romo and his skill players.

Romo/Dez has more targets this year than Manning/Welker and more yards. Get your facts/comparisons right. Defense is giving up record setting yards and blew THREE 4th quarter leads today. Romo is among the league leaders in TD passes while making fewer mistakes and turnover than ever in his career. Yet we are still a 500 team. Why? Defense is literally breaking records for ineptitude in pass defense.

But yeah stay on script
