Post Combine Mock (I Want to See Some Comments)

I did an earlier mock, before the combine and Mr. Jones remarks. This is the old one:
1) Mike Iupati, OG, Idaho (6'5, 325)

2) Dexter McCluster, WR, Ole Miss (5'8, 165)

3) Jason Fox, OT, The U (6'6, 315)

4) Kam Chancellor, FS, VA Tech (6'3, 230)

6) Vince Oghobaase, DT, UNC (6'5, 305)

7) Leigh Tiffin, K, Alabama (6'1, 212)

Now taking into account Jerry's remarks about having new faces on the team. I believe him, but it won't be the wholesale changes a lot of people were talking/thinking about. So let me get this mock started and u'll be able to see what I think the philosophy is and where the new faces will be coming from.

1) Maurkice Pouncey, C / OG, Florida (6'5, 304) Originally I had Iupati pegged for this pick, and I wouldn't mind picking him up here. But this is one of the many new faces Jerry was talking about. He can come in and immediately push Kosier for that LG spot, and if he doesn't win the spot, he definitely makes Proctor an afterthought. 1 new face

2) Nate Allen, FS, South Florida (6'1 205) I switched this pick to defense because I think this guy can take over for Hamlin in a year. He's an athlete, good work ethic, and is known to be an intelligent player. He was the quarterback of the secondary, much like Hamlin is here. We won't be getting rid of Hamlin's overpaid butt just yet, but we can get rid of Pat Watkins. I don't think Sensy goes anywhere, he getting his market value right now, Jerry will resign him. 2 new faces

3) Mardy Gilyard, WR, Cincy (6' 179) Everyone knows we'll be looking for a return man and a slot guy. We get both with this playmaker, he may not have timed well in Indy, but he has football speed. He instantly makes our return game better, and gets to learn the slot from Crayton and Ogletree for a year. See ya Sam Hurd, sorry bro. 3 new faces

4) Kyle Calloway, OT, Iowa (6'6 322) I know what u r thinking, how did I wait so long to pick an OT. Well, I'm under the impression that Big Flo gets one more year and that Dallas likes what they see in Free if anything happens to him. So I take this versatile big guy, who can play basically 4 spots on the line. Paul McQuistan bye bye 4 new faces

6) Clifton Geathers, DE, South Carolina (6'8, 299) We have Stephen Bowen, Jason Hatcher and Marcus Spears for that LDE spot, but we really don't have another run stopper behind Igor at RDE, this pick takes care of that. I know they don't play the same position, but he's taking Duke Preston's spot on the roster. 5 new faces

7) John Conner, FB, Kentucky (5'11, 246) A real throwback FB, will go in and blow up linebackers in lead plays. Good hands and pretty nice athlete. Plus he was a special teams standout, and captain of his squad. Cricket it was nice knowing u. 6 new faces

So after this draft, we r halfway to the Jerry's predicted 11 new faces, and we did it pretty easily and with more talented players for each spot. I'm not sure where the other 5 spots come from but at least one will Montrae Holland not coming back, so really only have 4 to look out for.

That's actually one of the best ones I've read. I would absolutely love to get those first 3 guys.

I really don't see Nate Allen being there with our pick in the 2nd round.

Some are forecasting that he can even sneak into the end of Round 1.

To be more realistic, I think you need to switch N Allen to someone else. But don't get me wrong, I love for him to be there for our Round 2 pick. I just don't see it happening (unfortunately).

Otherwise, I like your draft.
