Gonna be thin at DE with a draft like that and possibly losing Ware. Sam is nickel package type DE only, and questionable at that. See Wilber, Kyle.

Obviously if we cut Ware...I don't think we will... than all bets are off. You'd see Ealy at 16 or a trade down for Ford. Or praying that Jeffcoat, Murphy or Crichton is there in round 2.

I don't really like Ealy much more then Sam to be honest. Tuitt would be very interesting though.

I love your first pick.

I DO NOT want Sam, not because he is gay, but I do not believe our team needs any additional media or locker room distractions.

Love the Donald, Smith and Reid picks. Those three would really help our front 7.

McGill certainly has the size, and if the team thinks he has the skill to play corner, then I would have no problem with that pick either.

Sam would cause a ruckus that we just don't need, IMO, and his skills aren't good enough to put up with the circus.

Why Michael Sam? He had a really bad combine and wasn't projected all that high before hand. Is it the idea of the novelty of having the first openly gay player? If your going to take the factor of him being gay out of the question then his stock surely slid after the combine. He did horrible in every category. I like the rest of it tho.

He is a pass rusher and he has something to prove.

I like the trade down strategy in the event we don't have Ware. We can stock pile some front 7 picks that way. I like Crichton or Ford late in the first. I lost interest in Jeffcoat seeing him at the combine. Not athletic enough, too small for a DE. I could see him playing as a 3-4 OLB though.

I think my favorite pick in your mock is McGill, followed by Telvin Smith. I wonder if McGill could convert to FS and be better than what we have. And I wonder if Telvin could start over Carter at the Will. That's the kind of questions I like to ask about draft picks - potential starters.

And of course I like the Donald pick. I told you a trade down wouldn't work and still get him.

I saw something the other day that made me think twice about Sam. I was completely on board with drafting him but read a blurb that basically all his stats last year came against inferior teams and if you look at the games he played against top teams he was almost shut out statistically. I think his Combine numbers were below average also, I'm wondering now if he ends up coming off the board in the 6th or 7th instead of the 5th round now.

I really love the mock. All about fixing the defense, which needs an overhaul.

First two picks are awesome, and exactly what i'm hoping happens.

McGill has alot of size for a corner, and fits that Seattle secondary mold that everyone is going to try to copycat. I can see him playing safety also.

Michael Sam? I'm all for a 5th round flyer on him. I actually think he has a ton of pressure to succeed and will have alot to prove. I think he's a solid choice for a 5th rounder.

Absolutely love De'Anthony Thomas for this offense, but i'm not sure he lasts until the late 7th round. He didnt blow away the 40 like we all thought he would, but he's an electric player.

To be honest I lost all interest in drafting Sam after watching him run his 40. I'll leave it at that. If you didn't watch him then you don't know what I'm talking about.
