First let me preface this by saying. Dak being locked up is good for this team. In my opinion. We can fix a lot of things in this draft and next on the defensive and offensive side of the ball.

I dont know how much room we have to work with CAP wise as we havent restructured anyone, however these are guys that we would go after regardless of Dak signing or not.

Malik Hooker-Experience in the NFL. Hasnt really done much due to injury. This is a Cowboys signing thru and thru. He had a lot of talent coming into the draft, so I feel like if he can stay healthy he can contribute automatically.

Gerald McCoy-I think he would have been a good player for us last season, and I feel like he wants to come back here and would be a good vet to add to the line.

Mike Daniels-Another DT whos older but brings a vet presence to this line and some beef.

DJ Hayden-I am brining in a CB here because i dont think we keep Chido or Lewis. Hayden is another vet who I think can bring some great insight and help our young guys.

I also think we re-sign a few of our own guys at team friendly deals. A. Woods, Aldon Smith, and LP.

Now here comes the draft.

Trade with San Francisco from 10 to 12. Receive there 12th and 44th pick.

12-Kyle Pitts-TE
43-Ar'Darious Washington-S
44-Alim McNeill-DL
75-Eric Stokes-CB
99-Hamsah Nasrildeen-S
115-Dylan Moses-LB
138-Dazz Newsome-WR
179-Jaylen Twyman-DL
194-Alaric Jackson-OT
226-Khyiris Tonga-DL
236-Tony Fields-LB

This is obviously defence heavy but Pitts at 12 was too hard to pass up. Definitely filled a lot of holes.

Let me know what you think.

I am so on the fence with picking a TE, but Pitts is special and too enticing. if it works out this way, I wouldn't be too unhappy, but I would then trade Schultz while he is hot. we don't need three TEs. 3 top Wrs. and then two RBs that can catch, specially pollard. so trading Schultz and netting a high 3rd or low second would be great move on our part.

I've been using the 49ers as a trade partner too. I think there's a chance of them moving up for one of the remaining tackles or QBs. I could also see New England or Arizona wanting to get to that 10 spot.

Obviously getting Pitts outside the top 10 is a big score. I'm not a Washington fan and there's no way I'm taking him that high. I like McNeil. I don't see a huge difference between him and Neville Gallimore but I'm a fan of stacking up 300+ pounders who can move and less focused on the 1T or 3T label. Stokes that late would be nice but I can't see him getting out of the 2nd round. I'm mixed on Nasrildeen because I like the player but he seems so 1 dimensional. Dylan Moses is one of my favorite players in the entire draft and I've only got 3 linebackers ahead of him. Again I can't see him lasting this long, but I'd be thrilled.

You're not getting that for Schultz lol.

Pitts may not even make it to 10 now. Everyone is starting to see what I already knew about him.
I got a hunch which is usually right that the iggles take him at 6.

I don’t see any scenario where Stokes falls that far after his workout.

I really appreciate the effort

But the trade is just SO unrealistic.

I just don't understand why CowboysZone drafts always have Jerry fleecing other teams at epic levels in draft trades.
There is zero chance we would ever get picks 12 and 44 for pick 10. You can look at the last 30 drafts and you'll not find anything like that.
It literally has never happened in draft history. That combo gets you way up to pick 6 or so.

So throw out pick 44....it is impossible.

Picks 12 and 97 would do it though....maybe
